Are "black" Americans owed something besides the protection provided by the same laws ...

Obama made it worse.
Only in the first time, and that was under the strong recommendation of Bernanke and Paulson, both Republicans, in order to prop up the banks in "freefall", as Stiglitz called it his book by the same name. In Sept, 2008, our economy was in danger of collapse to the point whereas some economics felt we could end up in worse shape than we were during the Great Depression, especially since we had a much higher percentage of our money tied up in credit. Also, our auto industry, which employed one out of every six jobs here in the U.S., was in dire straits.

So a man's own home is not his castle these days.
Only to a limited extent.
You've always owned property at the pleasure of government.
Depending upon the state, they can take it for any purpose
which they deem a better use. (Kelo v New London).

We don't elect presidents. They are appointed.
Clinton was the top vote getter in 2016. But she isn't president.

And no, obviously, trade wars aren't easy to win either. Just another part of the bill of goods Trump sold you.

Actually Trump got more votes than Hillary, which is why he won.

But not from the U.S. electorate. That doesn't matter because we don't elect presidents. It is not a democratic process.
It's a process that protects the interests of rural white folks, the kind that used to own slaves.
