an anarchist
Your local anarchist.
So I’ve been on RF for almost a year (2+ weeks away). I introduced myself a month later with the following thread.
Hello! New member introducing himself!
I outlined my then current philosophy. It has changed. I still agree with my thesis I guess, though I am no longer a syncretist. My views on religion has changed, my views on anarchism remain the same. My eschatological views remain the same, minus the Jesus part. I am now a likely deist. I was naive I think and also hopeful that all religions were truly from god and everyone was right!
I came to this site thinking that I was gonna be teaching y’all and bring you guys over to syncretic anarchism. I was really wrong. I have an open mind, a strength of mine. Having an open mind led me from being a Christian republican to being a syncretic anarchist. Continuing my journey while on this site, I even identified as a Baha’i for a week a few months ago. Yet, upon further investigation, I found myself unable to be a Baha’i.
I never imagined that I would abandon my Christianity or theism altogether, yet here I am. This site had a role in that, it’s not complete responsible, but I had and read discussions with people here with an open mind, and I was convinced of their arguments against theism.
Where will this next year lead me? I may very well revert back to my Christianity. Maybe I’ll abandon the god belief altogether and become atheist. Maybe, after further exploring deism, I’ll like where I’m at. Maybe I’ll no longer be an anarchist and become a filthy statist
There’s one thing I know for certain, though. My beliefs will not be the same as they are now. Why? Because I intend to learn and grow, and I have an open mind!
Thank you all for cultivating my education through free discussion of ideas.
