42 in binary is balanced: 101010 You can see that it is three 10's in a row.

Other numbers with this binary property: 2, 10, 42, 170, 682, 2730

So the question is "Which is the third binary number with this repeating 10's property?" Its 42 of course.

Now lets look at 42 in its hexadecimal form: 2A. How interesting! Its got a 2 and an A! Hex 0x2A2A in decimal is 10794. So you see 42 answers the question "What is 0x2A in decimal form?" There.
