I don't believe that. Why would I? The argument for resurrection is that some people say that some other people saw Jesus when he was supposedly dead, and that when a rock was rolled away, there was no body to be seen. There would need to be a suspension f the laws of nature to revivify a body...
Hi dybmh. Good afternoon. You said in response to my challenge to you to give me a scripture that says we are to substitute the Name:
That simply is not true.
Let's read Exodus 20:7, it reads:
"7 You shall not make wrong use of the Name of Yahweh your Elohim; for Yahweh will not leave...
So what does Malachi mean when it claims (supposedly many centuries later) that Elijah will return? First of all a true prophet will appear. Secondly that prophet will bring unity. Malachi is primarily a protest against corrupt leadership which appears after the return from Babylon. It is a...
I believe you are in error. Re-incarnation is not disallowed by the NT and the passage about John the Baptist being Elijah is proof since even John could tell he didn't have the body of Elijah.
IMOP the expectation was that Elijah was to literally return. He did not!
* John wasn't really Elijah.
* Jesus wasn't the Jewish Messiah, at least not of their expectations.
The title that Jesus used was "son of man" not Messiah.
Matthew 11:13-14
13 For all the prophets and the law prophesied until John.
14 And if ye will receive it, this is Elias, which was for to come.
In Christendom John the Baptist is Elijah Practising the First Covenant/Old Covenant Water Baptism.
John the Baptist is Elijah. Water Baptism is...
Not sure of anywhere scripturally that stated these things, these are clauses of expectations...
As far as I understand Yeshua can be seen to be a return of David reincarnated, so it is possible to fulfil all the aspects of him being of that line.
John the Baptist was Elijah (Matthew...
This is a list I found which is common among Jews who reject Jesus as Messiah. Its comprehensive IMOP.
1. The Messiah is born of two human parents, as we said. But Jesus, according to Christian theology, was born of the union between a human woman and Gd (as were many other pagan deities, see...
You have gone away from rod of iron and onto Bridegroom.
You say Yeshua states that he will come as the Bridegroom. But he does not say that he is the Bridegroom in the story.
You also say it refers to Christ being the son of man in the story. But again it does not say that.
It seems your...
Yeah lots of reasons: firstly we can show reincarnation prophesied in Malachi4:5-6; where Elijah is sent back before the day of the Lord.
Yeshua states he will come as the Bridegroom at the Midnight Hour in Matthew 25:1-13... Where it refers to Christ being a Son of Man.
'Son of Man' implies...
I will try to make this short. In the OT God was not in a mortal body as such he was “not a man”. (The repeating bit I think just has to do with God being perfect).
From birth to death Jesus had a semi mortal body and it had some limits. Once resurrected He has a perfect body and all...
JESUS IS NOT GOD AND EVEN LIED ABOUT IT
Jesus cannot be God because Jesus was a man who lied about being God, which goes against Numbers 23:19; "God is not a man, that he should lie, Nor the son of man, that he should repent..." Not to mention in, Hosea 11:9 God flat out states, "I am GOD...
Malachi4:5-6 “Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the great and awesome day of the Lord comes. And he will turn the hearts of fathers to their children and the hearts of children to their fathers, lest I come and strike the land with a decree of utter destruction.”
Elijah also...
Here's from the link that Brian2 provided...
All the peoples of the world are awaiting two Manifestations, Who must be contemporaneous; all wait for the fulfillment of this promise. In the Bible the Jews have the promise of the Lord of Hosts and the Messiah; in the Gospel the return of Christ...
Jesus offered Elijah always comes first.
Matthew 17:11 Jesus replied, “To be sure, Elijah comes and will restore all things.
Malachi4:5-6 offers that prophecy: “See, I will send you the prophet Elijah before that great and dreadful day of the Lord comes. He will turn the hearts of the fathers...
i see the name as you do, i think
the name represents the characteristics of God, that’s why God has various names
the Lord, on earth, showed us how to live our lives
i don’t believe that “using” the name is necessary for salvation
because what we are being SAVED from, is ourselves
i see it...
I'll be typing this post out myself, as I do all my posts, but I'll use an article produced by my faith called 'Proving the Sacred Name From Your Bible" as my basis for this post. Why do the members of the Assemblies of Yahweh place such heavy emphasis on a Name? Is it merely to be different, or...
