Medicine for what? Solution for what? I thought you were saying that everyone already believes in God, so we already have the medicine and the solution. What disease is it curing, and what problem is it solving? Wait. Is this about The Seven-Per-Cent Solution?

Medicine is of no use until take regularly, and until the disease is 100% cured.

But I think it also shows that showering devotees with material pleasures is not likely to be what God would be doing (lowers spirits maybe).

That's bad luck. God must not like these humans. And being perfect God must have a good reason, so let that condemnation sink in to your attitude about the self.

Could be a person born into poverty, with few resurces to compete in a highly hierarchial and competitive society, where conservatives often reject efforts to create diversity and equality.

Or it could be disability. Or could be lacking talents or creativity. The atheist tends to be able to assess questions in a broad range of possibilities.

Different people can have different choices. Something which is pleasurable can be dis-pleasurable for another.

Re-union means oneness with something which is away from ANY KIND OF LIFE.

Not all people are interested in re-union, only rare people who find this world dis-pleasurable search for re-union. And yes, re-union is like a heaven for those souls.

Well, that sounds okay in theory. I guess it's one of those "we will wait and see" type of situations. I don't really think in terms of whether the world is pleasurable or dis-pleasurable. I mean, we've all had good times and bad times. But let's just say that I have relatively low expectations, based on what I've observed thus far.

Perhaps, although it's also possible that sad people are sad because bad things have been done to them by bad people. Even if they're not bad themselves, they can still be sad.

I own all my failures, even some that I could attribute to others (and rightfully so), given that it is less painful than hanging on to any. And hence I have nothing to complain about to a God or any mythical ones - possibly these being the same.

Dear sayka83, there's a big difference between material-pleasure and a reasonable-material-requirement. Taking pleasure from material is something that comes after reasonable-requirement.

Empty stomach can NEVER be a devotee of any God. The first thing an empty stomach need is food, devotion comes thereafter.
