Is Hunter Biden running a government department? Is he a member of the Senate or House? Is he a federal (or even state) judge? Oh, maybe he has a Cabinet seat, and heads a department of the U.S. government, is that it?

How many criminals are there in the United States? How many of them are being investigate by congressional committees? How many recovering drug addicts, and how many of them does Congress care about? How many rich people are there, and how many of them are the Republicans planning to investigate?

There are a lot of members here who bring up Hunter's name about every 33 milliseconds, so won't one of you please tell me what it is you think that makes this man a fit subject for congressional investigation. You know, if you think DOJ isn't capable, or the entire justice system of the nation and every state can't cope with the heinousness of this one person so that Congress must take over. Why Congress will spend countless hours, and countless millions, doing what the freaking cops ought to do.

As a gratefully non-American, it's completely beyond my understanding.

I can see the reverse argument for saying the same thing about Trump and his family. I don't agree, but that's what will come up.

It's purely political.
Political? So, by hunting down Hunter, they can bring down inflation? If they nail him to a cross, will gas prices come down, poverty disappear and transgendered kids suddenly be rendered cis?

Will the demise of Hunter Biden make Putin go away, and save Ukraine? Has Hunter been personally holding up finishing the Wall, or causing more immigrants to come to the nation?

Of course, out of the dozen or so suits against tRump, most are in normal courts. Only one is before Congress. Theoretically, he could go to prison for several of them. But the whole insurrection/treason one is what Congress has to review.

So again, no "just for show" in Traitor-tRump's case. Hunter's case? No, that's just Republicans being hypocritical---waste the taxpayer money---make a showboat mockery of their jobs---Republicans.

Hunter's case should go before lawyers to review. If they feel they have a case, they can call a grand jury, who in turn will decide whether the lawyers have enough evidence to bring the case to a normal criminal court. The End. ** Yawn **

Hunter Biden: What was he doing in China and Ukraine?
What Hunter Biden did on the board of Ukrainian energy company Burisma

The complaint stems from him using his father's influence in the country of Ukraine to get a job with an energy company. This energy company's president then later happened to get into trouble with Ukraine's government. Giuliani publicly accused Hunter Biden pressured the Ukraine government to get the company president fired. Giuliani produced no evidence, however his accusation was enough to keep the topic in the media.

Vice Presidents are not allowed to benefit from their influence in certain ways, and so helping Hunter Biden get onto the board of an energy company in Ukraine is a little shady. Its not terribly shady; however Trumps people wasted no time in trying to draw attention to it.

To find the "Big Man" and get the reason why 51 intelligence(?) agents indicated the the laptop was Russian disinformation.
Also to query media why they didn't even investigate the story.
And the main reason is I want to see someone, preferably many, to squirm.

It's because of Joe Bidens alleged involvement with Hunters alleged shady and possible illegal dealings based on what I hear.

It is a distinct possibility.

You paint a drab picture of McCarthyite depravity. I applaud your honesty.

It's just politics. It's obvious that their target is President Biden, so maybe they think they can rattle his cage by going after his son. Maybe they can find something that might incriminate the President and have grounds for impeachment.

Rhetorical question, right? You know who the Republicans are. You know their agenda, their values, and their methods. They can't pass any of their political agenda with the Democrats controlling the Senate - no tax breaks for the wealthy will be forthcoming, they can't gut Medicare or Social Security, and they can't gut or undo the infrastructure and global warming progress. Without the White House, they can't roll back any more protective banking or environmental regulations, so all they can do is troll the Democrats for two years while preventing them from going forward with any of its progressive legislative agenda. Marjorie Taylor Greene should be quite entertaining now that she'll be in congressional committees again. Expect a two-year s**t-show in the House:

AFAIK, the only Trump family members who Democrats make an issue of are the ones who held official positions in Trump's White House.

He's an easy target for people who want desperately to beat up on those "liberal scum" for their angry, confused, and selfish constituents back home. When you have no idea or intention of actually fixing anything, beating up on imaginary bad guys creates a distraction.
