Personally, I've always been offended by "white boy". I'm a white man. Rand Paul is too.

My advice is to avoid giving ammunition to those who'd
discredit the usefulness of the protests by pointing to
hypocrisy. We should be careful to avoid counter-productivity.

And thats why I aimed at Rand, for thinking he was under attack frim an angry mob when clearly that just was not the case. There was a shoving match between and protester and a cop, with the cop stumbling backwards into Rand. Thats not being attacked.

This is so wrong, misguided and tragic. Thank you for posting this.

I’m normally suspicious of a source like the DailyMail, but, the video and corroboration by other media (including WaPo) speaks for itself.

No one should condone this kind of reactionary thuggery. It’s also misguided and will, IMO, harm the legitimate objectives of the BLM movement.

Your point about the protestors shouting “say her name” is an interesting - and disturbing - one.

I am reminded of the woman in DC, who herself participated in BLM marches and supports the movement, who was shouted at to raise her fist and refused to do so. Protest must not be coerced, she said. This seems obvious to me and coercion anathema to liberalism, but apparently the left-wing nuts need to re-learn this lesson.

You have failed several times to describe this violence or when it occurs and now you jump to claiming I'd be doing the same of the tables were turned. If the video was really "full of violence" this should be so easy to do, to describe what happens and when. But you don't, because you can't.
