"Apologies to Trump"

Are more than apologies in order?
Opinion | Mueller Exposes Spy Chiefs
Excerpted.....
Now that special counsel Robert Mueller has found that no one in the Trump campaign colluded with Russia to steal the 2016 election, Democrats are busy moving the goal posts. But this is a distraction from the real reckoning that needs to come.

The one we need is for all the intelligence officials—including former Director of National Intelligence James Clapper, former Central Intelligence Agency chief John Brennan, and the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s former Director James Comey and former Deputy Director Andrew McCabe—who pushed the Russia conspiracy theory. The special counsel has just made clear they did so with no real evidence.

Mr. Mueller could have said he didn’t have enough evidence to prosecute. Instead he was categorical: “The investigation did not establish that members of the Trump Campaign conspired or coordinated with the Russian government in its election interference activities.”

This wasn’t for lack of trying on Moscow’s part. “Despite multiple offers” from Russia-affiliated individuals to help their campaign, Mr. Mueller reports, the Trump people didn’t take them up on it.

So why do 44% of Americans—according to a Fox News poll released Sunday—believe otherwise? Part of the answer has to be that the collusion tale was egged on by leading members and former members of the American intelligence community.

Are you serious?

"It doesn't matter if the commander in chief of the United States is suspected of colluding with foreign powers and committing treason or breaking international or constitutional law - let them continue to be leader of the free world to the completion of his term BEFORE investigating them!"
Key word: "suspected". If the wrongdoing is obvious, then yes. This apparently, was a witch hunt!

I will withhold any sort of apology when someone is being a hypocritical crybaby. Trump was all into Obama being a Kenyan, and he was leading the crowd in "lock her up." Did he apologize? Did he suggest his supporters and those who bought into the bull**** apologize?
Trump is basically getting a taste of his inanity thrown back at him. Feeling any sympathy or pity for him, thinking he is owed an apology, it's all wasted on him because he doesn't deserve it.

That's my point. I was really not happy with the 'birthers' and defended Obama against that stupidity. .....and given what Hillary pulled with her deliberate destruction of e-mails that had been subpoenaed, right down to smashing the phones and hard drives with hammers, "lock her up" wasn't an unreasonable response. Face it. This wasn't something supposed or hinted at or 'found' after investigating something else as a result of a trumped up dossier paid for by her opponents.

That aside, there is an addage...attributed to Gandhi..."An eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth, and soon the world is blind and toothless.' You guys want to hold the high road here?

Easy. Appologise for your own wrong doing, whether you like the target or not. After all, this is all about what YOU did, not about what he did. Then, if Trump does not apologize for something stupid that he has done, THEN you have the upper hand.

Right now you all just look like sulky 12 year olds....with the power and willingness to ruin lives.

You probably don't want to lump me in with "you guys."
And, no apologies. I have harshly criticized Buzzfeed ever since they made the dunderheaded decision to publish the dossier. I've corrected Liberals when they don't know what impeachment is. I've been pointing out when Democrats are acting like fools. I have been saying the entire time that we just need to wait and see what Mueller finds in his investigation.
If Trump deserves an apology, do I deserve a cookie?

First, good for you. Sincerely.

but you ARE the one who is campaigning against an apology owed. That make you one of 'you guys.' in that.

After all, I defended Obama against the birthers, and a few other things I felt were unjust. However, because i did not approve of his policies or politics, I was absolutely one of the enemy. So, a cookie for you for the justice you have stood for, and comments that you goofed when you, er,....goof.

Because he doesn't deserve one. How many presidents have ever gotten them for the various slights made against them? When you step into a certain position, it should be expected that you can shake off what the position comes with without getting upset to the point of wanting an apology where no one else has ever gotten or expected one. It doesn't excuse poor behaviors, but public servants do need thick skin. We have the right to ridicule, mock, and taunt them all day long, and they too are subject to the law.

No, because what you say Trump deserves an apology for I didn't do. And it looks really out of place once I start going after Libs and Dems for failing to realize and comprehend how they are basically sinking their own ship.

OK, I know you don't like Trump. Got that. The question isn't whether you think Trump deserves anything because he's a (insert insult here). The question is, was the accusation against him regarding collusion with Russia wrong or not? If it was wrong, then an apology is due. It's just that simple. Apologies are not given because the target 'deserves' it...that is, because the target is some sort of saint. Apologies are about the people who screwed up.

So you go after the Libs and Dems for failing to realize and comprehend how they are basically sinking their own ship, but an important part of that is getting an apology out of them. If one doesn't think the target is owed an apology for something they have done wrong, it's because they don't think they did anything wrong. If they don't' think they did anything wrong, they aren't going to change their tactics, are they?

But he wasn't "suspected" it was straight fabricated. Just like poor Kavanaugh. The left is more or less a fascist group willing to do anything to have their way.

That's because Obama expressly ordered not to prosecute Hillary. The handling of classified emails alone is a crime if it's on an unsecured computer. I suppose that's water over the bridge by now.

Ironically the Democrats are everything they pretend to hate!

Uh, no it wasn't. They literally discovered Russia meddling in the election and Trump and his inner circle had multiple meetings with high-ranking Russian officials before and during the campaign. An investigation was necessary.

Also, I'm not sure you understand what "investigations" or "fabrications" are.

Just like poor Kavanaugh. The left is more or less a fascist group willing to do anything to have their way.
Wow. Maybe you need to calm down and check in with reality every now and then.

If anyone owes him an apology it's Don Jr. for opening his mouth and strongly implying it happened.

Ok, him too.

How does that remove the need for apologies from any/everybody ELSE who screwed this up? All you are doing here is trying to blame someone else.

Blame someone else? Are you implying I somehow have blame in all this?

I mean, the reality is the left said Trump was a Russian spy to defame him and it was a blatant lie. They said kavanaugh was a sexual criminal and it was a blatant lie. They literally harass people in the streets and at home, believe in disarming the population, taking away free speech, rejecting scientific fact in favor of subjective relativism - holy **** it's hard to stop thinking of reasons the left is evil.

And that's another lie-- three strikes and you're out! Welcome to baseball season.

Stereotypes are forms of lies, and you have done just that.

"It's a lie!!!!" I love this modern mindset that what we say is true if we believe it!
