Does God laugh?

I guess that if `He` can laugh, `He` can get angry !
See all those dead people way back there,
none of them laughed, nor `Him` !

I had to think a while, and responded rapidly,
But....I found mineself thinking again,
confused as usual, how in hell could a god exist ?
now forget hell, and heaven doesn't even exist.
Could `God` even be amused ? If `He` even existed ?
Here I go, pretending like `He` exists, amazing to myself.
Pope likes to set these traps, don't you Pope ?
Oh well, if `He` exists, I'm sure that `He` is amazed.
I'm going to stare at my pond some more, and wonder.
If there is a heaven , and you do not make it, I will not want to be there

Scripture says "he who sits in the heavens laughs". Now, I just need to learn how to make him laugh. It might cause him to lighten up a bit and be more kind.

It's kind of strange the thought of an invisible Spirit laughing.

What do you think he finds amusing?
My goodness! A lot!!
That’s why I don’t believe we are predestined. He predestines events — He can —but not us.

He wants to see who will marry who....what choices will this one make....what will that one do, stuff like that. I mean, we’re curious creatures, and we are made in His image. He’s curious, too.

Other than Psalms 2, where it says God laughs in a derisive way toward the ungodly, I can’t think of any others. (Of course, that doesn’t mean there aren’t.)

I do know of 1 Timothy 1:11.

At Psalms 2 I find God laughs at those against Him. That is Not in a comical amusing way.
He's laughing at those who He holds in derision because the wicked will Not relinquish their power.
Hence, an Act of God is needed to eliminate all evil.
When Jesus said about humble meek people inheriting the Earth from Psalms 37:11-13 it mentions that God laughs at the wicked....

Since 1 Timothy 1:11 says God is a ' happy ' God, then what is amusing to Him can bring happy laughter.
After all, we are made in His image or likeness, so all of intelligent creation can be amused with laughter.

I find those who God calls to Heaven is by His own choice and Not by oneself.
How about wanting to here on Earth as Jesus promised that humble meek people will inherit (Not Heaven) but Earth.

ahhh yes...I want to be a part of Earths Stuff,
and my spirit can hover over the water,
just like `God's`.

If there were a God, then he'd definitely have a sense of humor. That'd certainly explain a lot. The bigger question then would be, does she play practical jokes?

It's an anthropomorphism.

It appears to men his purposes are being thwarted like the French atheist who announced in 100 years the Bible will be in the morgue. In 100 years later he was in the morgue. God says 'my purspoes will stand'

On the other hand Jesus was the God man, fully man and fully God and Jesus did laugh

As to anthropomorphism:
If it has more than three syllables, it's probably made up,
if not, then it's psychosomatic gibberish !

Curious about religion
Well We are made in His image. If we laugh He must laugh too. Or maybe he laughed first and we are the effect of His laughter. Dunno

I think He likes this forum though.
I’ve never laughed so much since yesterday

If you want to make God laugh, tell Him your plan.
