My name is Texan1. It is SO LAME. For some reason I was in a hurry when I signed up and I randomly picked the name texas because - guess which state I live in? Then I think I put a 1 after it in case there was already a texan. I wish I could go back and be more creative with it, but that's who I am here now so I guess I won't change it. So now I just think of myself as the Number One Texan!

I tend to gravitate toward the more esoteric and mystical traditions in all the varying religions, and I also feel a sense of community with the writings of mystics. Since "sang'ha" is a Refuge and one of the Three Jewels in Buddhism, I tend to feel a taking refuge specifically here amidst the more subtle and more mystical expressions in religion. I like doing just that here at RF.

"Mystic" - "Sang'ha"..........enjoying the community of practitioners and believers of varying faiths, and appreciating all the varying joyful and beneficial expressions of these varying faiths.

I chose mine because Nikodemus means "victory of the people" which is something I relate to. Also Nicodemus comes to visit Jesus by night to get the word. In other words he cuts through the normal channels and goes straight to the source. My kinda guy.

I took mine from the expression "sui generis" which means something along the lines of unique, of its own kind, etc. I find beauty in diversity, so I thought Sui would be a good name to use.

Mine comes from a word I misheard my brother say while he was practicing lines for a play. I was walking past and I thought he said: "I am Troublemane". I stopped and said, "What did you say?"
whatever it was, it wasn't as cool as I thought. But I kept the name, and used it in several short stories. (it has a liony, trickster kinda sound to it )

Eventually, I used it as my first email address, and has become my monicker online. :D

I don't like my username and would change it if I could... First because of the obvious stupid mistake I made while entering it.. The plural from of Woman... Second, because while I believe in reason and blablabla I am not a reasonable girl. As some of you already noticed, I can be an unreasonable biatch (I can't stand the language filter here I meant ***** not biatch) when I don't agree with people.

Ummm... because life is ravishing? Haha... When I was getting a new e-mail last year or so I was trying out a number of... positive things. Such as "lifeislovely" or "lifeiswonderful." But they were all taken. So I settled for "life.is.ravishing" . And it is! :)
