  • It has its pluses and minuses. The translation has many of the same sorts of interpolated agenda-driven "translation choices" that plague Artscroll. On the other hand, they don't pretend that their instructions are universal normative halachah from Sinai, as Artscroll seems to do: they are clear that this siddur is minhag Lubavitch, and the instructions reflect the practices and customs instituted by the Alter Rebbe (the first Rebbe of Lubavitch) for them. Stylistically, I'd still recommend the Koren Sacks or other siddurim first, but you could do worse than Tehillat Hashem.
Change? Not int he slightest. Ihave just given better definition to my stances but I would not say I have changed them. I am a bit more than a Deist but it is hard trying to tell a person that I am a "Gnostic Deist with a fascination for Wathaniyya and loves dabbling in Semitic Paganism"
Lenin(pbuh) was the messih and Che(pbuh) was the final prophet of Communism(swt) :D. Tis true.

I have been trying to find out who the avatar is associated with but apparently it is just a random painting. I never found a site linking it to Menachem Schneerson
Gnostic Deism is essentially the spirit of Deism (meaning there is no revealed religion in existence) with the spirit of gnosis meaning the attainment of knowledge to reach god.

Deism is actually a form of religious philosophy that splintered from Gnosticism. Deism asserts that god can only be reached through secular knowledge and he is not person. While Gnostics believe in a certain degree of revelation and assert that god is personal.

Gnostics cling to scripture while a Deist rejects scripture.
A Gnostic Deist rejects that scripture came from god but I still believe holy books are informative and spiritually enlightening.

In case you wonder, I use the Bible and Hindu texts :)
 For thou speaketh heresy! Canines are the works of the devil.

Soon you shall learn to obey the our Lord Kitty...Chairman Meow
