How does Heathenry go together with Slavic paganism? Is there any correlation between Norse/Germanic and Slavic cultures?

Thanx. Would Heathenry include Anglo-Saxon and Teutonic paganism? Or is that separate?

Yes. Heathenry pretty much covers all of Northern Europe (Germanic, Scandinavian, Uralic, and sometimes Slavic)

Hey, I wasn't trying to argue, just explaining why I believed the Aryan thing. People moved around a lot in the days of old and mixed with a lot of cultures. Its hard to know exactly where everyone originally came from.

Understandable, and sorry if I seemed bristly about it - being a Heathen we have to do ideological battle with neo-Nazis quite often (and not saying that you are one, at all.) I'm not even sure why they use Aryan, but while they are IE, as well as the Germanic peoples, the Aryan and Germanic are different.

I thought that Europeans and Mesopotamians shared certain gods and goddesses from their "Aryan" or "Indo-European" roots?

The Norse traveled *a lot*, and would have (obviously) "sown a few oats" in the lands that they visited. I also think that genetically, Arabs are "Caucasian" (and I do know that people from the Caucasus region aren't as milk-white as Scandinavian people).

The Indo-European peoples, however, have origin with the Yamna culture, which was settled in what is now Ukraine and Russia. Afro-Asiatic peoples (which includes Semetic and Arabic,) have root in Northern Africa and what is now Egypt and Syria.

Now, with the Aryans, they are a culture of Indo-Iranian peoples that split off from the Yamna around 2300–1700 BCE. At this point in time, they would have been *significantly* different from the "Corded Ware", who split off in 3000 - 2000 BCE, and formed the European peoples.

Hey, I've been a lurker for a while. I've seen you post often and I'm curious; what drew you to Norse paganism?

It's a long story, but in a nutshell various deities urged me further Northward while I was a pantheon-less Pagan; Heathenry, and the Gods of the North, was what made the most sense to my soul, and what has truly pushed me to grow as an individual.

Halo 5, actually :P Copperhead Fangs helmet, Argus Arestor armor. It's my multiplayer armor configuration, complete with PAGN in braille on the chestpiece.

Also Felicia Day was Charlie in Supernatural and Tallis in Dragon Age 2. She's also a major collaborator for The Guild, Mystery Science Theater 3000, and Dr. Horrible's Sing-a-long.

It was a tough circumstance, and truly a mercy killing, but through it I saw and learned that the truest meaning of life is fighting for life, even when it's a hopeless situation.
