  • Hi again caním (I can't write undotted i on this keyboard!). :D

Yes, Peace informed me that breaking the fast with dates is Sunnah. :) I should ask if it's done every night or if it's only done on the final day of Ramadan, but I haven't gotten around to it yet though. :D
Salamu 'alaikum dear sister, Ramadan Mubarak Kareem! Let's do our best to increase our worship and good deeds, ameen!
    Lol, whee. :D
I thought Muslims opened or closed their fast with dates or something like that? Maybe it's a tradition in one region or something like that :)
    Salaam,
Ramadan Kareem and May Allah support you for maximum gain in this month!
Thanks for adding me as a friend
    You're very welcome :)

Do you have any traditions to open your fast? I know Muslims either close it (or open it) with dates.. but I forget which way around it is. :D
selamu alaykum sister and happy ramadan, may Allah make this fasting month easy for you and me and all the ummah and may our sins be forgiven inshallah, amin.
I confess I have been hording frubals! I would give them all to you, but I don't know how.
I try to stay young! :) I hope you have a wonderful Ramadan!

By the way, you really have got to see Colorado sometime! The weather here this year has been wet. Lots of rain. Everything is still green and lush even in August, our hottest month. It's beautiful and smells so full of life.
You seem like a well-intentioned person. I don't think you support death threats. I don't think you support inequality. But it's obvious you are very devout to your religion and take it very seriously when someone points out that whatever crime was done in the name of Islam. I think you wanted to clarify that it isn't just and it isn't actually supported by Islam, but it got lost in misunderstandings and yelling matches.

    Let bygones be bygones?
You're very welcome :) It seemed like that thread got a bit out of hand, and there were many misunderstandings.
But I do think you had some very good points, and in my previous experiences with you on the forums, you've always been kind and considerate. I just hate to see so much anger on a thread like that
