Thank you, very clear nowI'm sorry if it came across that way. It is not what I meant to convey.
Aren't all the basic creeds of the present day Christian denominations (45,000+ of them , including the JWs and LDS aka Mormons) later fabrications and none of these basic creeds was ever originated from Jesus- the truthful Israelite Messiah, please? What beliefs do you think makes someone a Christian?
I think it's all about accepting Christ as Lord:
Do you agree or disagree with this?
- Christ is God
- Christ saves
If so, why?
Can you think of anything else, that defines a Christian?
All religions are based on superstition, hope that helps." what makes a Christian? "

Oh good. Yet another RF scholar that has studied "all" religions. All religions are based on superstition, hope that helps.
Of course your religion is not superstition, yours is the True religion.Oh good. Yet another RF scholar that has studied "all" religions.
Well, it is for me. But while we're on the subject...Of course your religion is not superstition, yours is the True religion.
Religion is a euphemism for superstition, hope this helps.Well, it is for me. But while we're on the subject...
Actually, your comments in this thread have been quite helpful.Religion is a euphemism for superstition, hope this helps.
I believe there is no purely true religion. There is God's truth and everything else isn'tOf course your religion is not superstition, yours is the True religion.
I see religion for the superstition that it is, it asks to be ridiculed so I oblige.Actually, your comments in this thread have been quite helpful.
They've demonstrated that you take shots at religion because you are in complete ignorance of what religion is and can only spout atheist rhetoric.
Thank you for the insight.
awww...sorry. I won't discuss it with you any more.Look, I've let you know more than once that I'm not interested in this topic. It is rude of you to continue to push it, but whatever. I'm simply going to ignore further posts from you on the Rebbe.
Part of the situation (or problem) is: faithful to what? I have been reading 2 Chronicles 13 and it is MOST informative, regarding the difference of worship between the northern tribes of Israel and the southern tribes. All claiming somehow to worship the same God. I hope you get a chance to read it. The point is: either God is pleased with our worship, or He is not. According to the scriptures, it's not an "iffy" thing.Of course, we would have to define what "faithful to the end" looks like.
Clearly some things are not true, or true. For instance, M. Schneerson is a big topic for many, and where I live there's a big billboard with his picture . Many adherents. I guess some just don't like to admit what's true, and/or there.Evidently he IS an interest -- a big one among many Jews. Now.
I do not believe that Isaiah is about Jesus, I believe it is about Baha'u'llah, since He fulfilled all the verses.I believe Christians derive our understanding of the first appearance of Jesus from Isa. 53.
In what verses did Jesus claim to be the Messiah?Otherwise we only have the fact that Jesus claimed to be the Messiah.
In that case, it wasn't possible to be a Christian before Jesus was sentenced to death. To believe Jesus was physically resurrected.

Yes. I think that the essential and original concept of Christianity is the acceptance of the particular Christian redefinition of the term “faith” (English faith comes, through French, from Latin fides, in Classical and earlier Latin that meant “loyalty”, but as redefined by the early Christians it came to have an additional sense in Ecclesiastical Latin: “confidence in what one cannot comprehend”), and the idea that said “faith” is the necessary ingredient for one’s ultimate well being. This was the irrationalizing of religion, which before that had never demanded taking the internal, mental appreciation of supernatural propositions so seriously. The supernatural “Christ” is a secondary principle, a concept created by Saul of Tarsus as the necessary object of “faith” as he imagined “faith” to mean. In this, it is important to realize that Saul’s “Christ” is not the historical Jesus, whom Saul never met and apparently knew little about, nor is it the Jewish mashiach, though he used a translation of the name of that Hebrew concept to name his own. It is with the Pauline conception of faith that Christianity departed from all religions which had existed theretofore. What beliefs do you think makes someone a Christian?

To believe that Jesus died on the cross for the sins of humanity. To believe Jesus was physically resurrected.
