In my opinion anyone that lives their life seeking approval from others won't live a happy life.

But understand if society as a whole demeans your very existence. You might find yourself either being rather resentful or trying to find acceptance. Wherever that may be.

Yeah, I still remember in Indiana these two Jehovah's Witnesses (they were trying to convert my oldest nephew's girlfriend and she asked me to handle it since I know more Bible than all them combined), trying to tell me the Bible has great advice for general good health. Now, of course I know it doesn't, that it contains things degrading towards woman and things that are just outright unsafe and unsanitary, and I knew then they don't know the Bible as well as the "ideal teenaged Christian" turned apostate does. I taught them things that shocked and stunned them about the Bible.

It's like when people say nasty things about phalloplasty to insult trans men, they don't realize that surgery was originally developed for men who had lost their genitals from injury or disease, especially combat vets who literally had their penis blown off or shot off. So they're insulting veterans, too.
