I stand corrected. I had assumed Jane was his wife. I get a kick out of the "Jane with all her friends" meme he has on Facebook.
They're kind of a form of torture. Once in a while, someone will do something really spectacular on an award show that couldn't really have occurred in any other format. And I really love when that happens. Unfortunately, it's a very rare occurrence, and the many MANY hours of monotonous drivel and shameless promotion that goes on otherwise is just hellish.I dislike awards shows because there is so little

I keep telling you they're not award shows, they're Ricky Gervais standups with frequent, lengthy, and irritating interruptions from pompous, self-righteous [that particular word he frequently describes irritating people as, who wouldn't hear the word so often if they'd quit acting like it].
