Texas Law Banning Abortion After About Six Weeks Takes Effect

So, logically those two "geniuses" must be intentionally allowing rapist to thrive in Texas up until that announcement.

reminiscent of this;

1995-04-21 04:00:00 PDT Raleigh, N.C. -- Women do not get pregnant when raped because "the juices don't flow, the body functions don't work" during an attack, a state lawmaker said yesterday.

Republican Representative Henry Aldridge made the remarks to the House Appropriations Committee as it debated a proposal to eliminate a state abortion fund for poor women.

If one's days are written by God beforehand and one is aborted that was in God's plan. No one is playing God. One can't have it both ways.
Lol, I see a logical error. Our days start when we are born. Do you think a baby in the womb experiences days? And you assume God's plans always happen for the person and that evil can't interfere, apparently. That's not the picture the Bible paints. To abort the unborn is to go against God's plans for that child just as abusing him would be against God's plans.

There was some idiot Texas politician I heard state there would be no reason for a exemption in the case of rape because there will be no more rape in Texas,
Abbott responded with a plan that, absent a mere second of serious consideration, makes perfect sense: Simply eliminate rape.

“Rape is a crime,” Abbott said, “and Texas will work tirelessly to make sure that we eliminate all rapists from the streets of Texas by aggressively going out and arresting them and prosecuting them and getting them off the streets.”

This is special idiocy since overwhelmingly most rapes happen in the home by somebody the victim knows.

Of course, because it's only appropriate to treat an infection rather than work to prevent it.

If our days are written by God before we are born who are we to take that away from someone? We should not be playing God.

If the days are written by God, how do you know He didn't foresee an abortion? Perhaps an abortion was part of his plan. By pretending you know, you are the one playing God.

You're missing the point entirely. It's about God decreeing a certain number of days and a person removing that opportunity. Even having the conversation about it means you know this is true. That we throw away all that potential. That baby could have been the person to cure cancer or bring world peace but we will never know.

Just have to point out another silliness of this thing. Gestational age is counted from last period, not conception. Which means your 'six weeks to make a decision' could start before you're even pregnant. Most women don't even find out they're pregnant until six weeks gestational age. And millions and millions of women with irregular periods either from conditions like endometriosis or PCOS or because they've been taking hormone birth control couldn't realistically know they're pregnant.

Best case scenario this old bunch of dudes just don't know anything about female bodies (or embryonic bodies, we won't get into that a six week embryo certainly does not have a heartbeat) they're making laws for. Worst case, they set a faux consideration knowing it won't make a difference for millions.

I said no such thing. The unborn is a viable human being.
Yes you did.

Right there in post #403:

If God already knows what is going to happen, then "he" would already know which specific fetuses are going to be aborted ahead of time, especially since "he" himself aborts anywhere from 10% to 50% of them via spontaneous abortion. So if God knows which fetuses are going to be aborted ahead of time, then perhaps he shouldn't fix it so one of the aborted ones would have cured cancer. He could fix it so that all aborted fetuses would have grown up to become Hitlers or something and all the ones that weren't aborted grow up to cure cancer.

None of this really makes any sense, probably because it's made up. ;)

(I haven't seen proof for this.)
The question is, why?

If you want an abortion in case you are, you better pay attention to things.
because they've been taking hormone birth control couldn't realistically know they're pregnant.
A lot of people with hormone birth control know if they're pregnant. You miss your period and get symptoms the same way you do without it.

You don't need proof. Think about it.

An average menstrual cycle is 4 weeks long. So it can take up to at least 4 weeks before a woman even knows she has missed her period to begin with. And that's people who have regular periods. Many don't. So if we take the conservative route and go with 4 weeks, now we're at 4 weeks and we've got to make a doctor's appointment. We'd better hope we can get in right away, right? And in Texas, you have to wait at least 24 hours after seeing a doctor before you can make another appointment in which you can discuss abortion. So you have to hope and pray you can get another appointment immediately, because now we're at at least the 5 week mark. At least. Then, if you want an abortion, you'd have to wait until an appointment was available. And this is all assuming you have access (and the $$$) to doctor's and clinics in the first place.

I fear your view is very short-sighted and somewhat ignorant of the processes involved.

If you want an abortion in case you are, you better pay attention to things.
Do you have a vagina, uterus, ovaries, etc.?

A lot of people with hormone birth control know if they're pregnant. You miss your period and get symptoms the same way you do without it.
When is it that you think someone can tell they've missed their period? Do you know how long a menstrual cycle is, because it doesn't sound like it.

Excuse me?
A six week old embryo doesn't have anything near a fully developed heart and therefore doesn't have a heartbeat.
