BTW, do you know what most people with covid die from?

Answer: suffocation. IOW, it's a slow and excruciating death.

Please, for your sake and the sake of others, get the vaccine.

And they die alone in the hospital. Family are not allowed to be there due to the contagious virus.

Horrible way to die, horrible way to lose someone.

Satan? Sheesh. I haven't heard that before.
There are many strange sources of info out there.
Discerning which are cromulent is a skill that eludes many.
I look at it simply....
It's about a pandemic...epidemiologists & virologists are
the most expert in these areas, particularly the former.
Poole I guess can only go by what they read and hear from the experts. Some people are questioning the CDC. Maybe some meduics can make better decisions than layman.
I questioned the CDC too when they recommended against
masks. A range of good sources is best, eg, Mayo Clinic.

Here is what I mean by looking at other factors when deciding to vaccinate, level of risk, and which vaccination to take. I can't remember who I mention this to, but I've repeated it so must have been all.

COVID-19 Vaccine FAQs for Healthcare Professionals | CDC

"Level of COVID-19 community transmission
Patient’s personal risk of contracting COVID-19
Risks of COVID-19 to the patient and potential risks to the fetus
Known and potential benefits of vaccination
Vaccine effectiveness
Vaccine side effects
Limited but growing evidence about the safety of COVID-19 vaccination during pregnancy"

This is talking about pregnant women. I know risks are said to be rare-for now-but if they take factors into consideration why provaxxers debate when I say it even though that's a medically ethical thing to do regardless who says it?
It's always to consider the likelihood of effects, eg,
the risks of covid (eg, death, injury) vs vaccination
(eg, blood clots, chills). Such things are quantified.

The question comes to mind when was that CDC FAQ released? Since there now have been multiple millions of shots issue worldwide, we generally know the answer to many of those questions.

Also, it is pretty much common knowledge that no medication or vaccine is free from any side effects, thus the question one should ask is whether the side effects outweigh the benefits, and the clear answer we clearly see is no.

One of my sister's-in-law, who works in a hospital, told me she wanted to wait, came down with the virus less than a week later, and then told us on Fb that she made a huge mistake.

BTW, do you know what most people with covid die from?

It does depend on the release date, true. I didn't look. The factors let's one know the risks and benefits. So far it seems rare so people like youth, pregnant people, and those with underlying conditions CDC suggest not to vaccinate would give more mind to taking it than just anyone. The problem is assuming risks and benefits are the same for all people. Someone in two different countries would have different outlooks on the immediate need (assuming they take that into consideration).

If risks and benefits vary by person, it would make no sense to urge everyone to get the vaccine when majority of people are strangers.

Yeah. Masks thing was just common sense. I did of course looked it up but the marketing. If I weren't a chrischin.

The only sources I looked at really are ones like CDC, webmed, and medical sites (those I understood). Mayo is good. Medical university sites are good. YouTube, not the media and homemade videos, have better ways to describe how vaccines work, what the virus does, and things for layman. Mostly the elementary version to be honest. I don't keep it all in my head long enough to debate about it, though.

With side effects, I'm glad CDC backs up media. They both do underplay it but once I find the cons on fine print I get an idea aside from the other mess.

Anyone who has concerns should consult their doctor. They should not consult garbage conspiracy sources.

They should. First and foremost. I can't say everyone in the world are not healthy, so it doesn't hurt.

Even if they didn't look at the conspiracy sources, I'd assume everyone who looks at the same sources wouldn't derive at the same conclusions.

Which physicians? What is their area of expertise?
Which public commentators? The ones on OANN?

It matters.

And, again, what is the content of the warning statement? Is it that vaccines shouldn't be given to 16- to 24-year-olds?

  1. US COVID death rate (600,000/300,000,000) = 0.002
  2. US COVID case rate (33,600,000/300,000,000) = 0.112
  3. Heart inflammation rate (1200/32,000,000) = 0.0000375
  1. There is no getting better from #1
  2. There are long term effects for many people in #2
  3. In all cases so far the inflammation has been mild and goes away on its own
What's is the point you are trying to make?

Please let us agree we should be against the mandatory vaccination of children and adolescents if they were to have a 1 out of a 30,000 chance of getting heart inflammation by being mRNA COVID -19 vaccinated in exchange for the benefit of gaining near certain immunity against a disease they would otherwise have a better than 99,999 out of a 100,000 chance of fully recovering from being infected by the SARS-CoV2 virus. .

Yes, and one of my wife's cousins died that way from covid.

Because our area [Detroit metro] got hit so hard from covid very early on in 2020, almost everyone we know now has gotten the vaccine, and many are still wearing a mask in public even though that mandate has been terminated.

As of yet, no deaths have been recorded here in the States from a reaction to the vaccine, but we've had several hundred thousands of deaths from covid.

Between December 2020 and June 7th, 2021, VAERS received 5,208 reports of death (0.0017%) among people who got a vaccine. Doctors and safety monitors carefully review the details of each case to see if it might be linked to the vaccine. There are three deaths that appear to be linked to blood clots that occurred after people got the J&J vaccine.

The obituary of Jacob Clynick reveals he died at age of 13. A viral Twitter post hints Jacob’s cause of death was a covid vaccine.

In some chronic illnesses patients have, medics tell loved ones to cover in a full gown even face covering in some cases to not spread germs-like, I'm guessing, if someone has a immune disorder and can die from germ contact that would otherwise be killed by our immune system. Why can't they do that for COVID patients?

Thanks for the update, but remember that people who may die after getting the vaccine may not die because of the vaccine. Even the links you post conclude that one is overwhelming better off on the average by getting the vaccine.

IOW, it's about playing the odds.

One question is why don't provaxxers take that into consideration? It's one thing to say "this is true, but the odds are so low I'll take my chances" than outright dismissing it. Not even experts dismiss it no matter how rare the connection may be.

That's pure confirmation bias. Why would one make a health decision because of that.

I don't know, why do so many antivaxxers base their health decisions on fear and pseudoscience?

I don't believe they all do.

Provaxxers meaning those who are for the vaccine.
Antivaxxers meaning those against the vaccine.

Not everyone falls under these two sides.

So far, least online, I only know provaxxers more concerned than antivaxxers. Not sure if the latter put everyone in one boat, but the former sure do.

Confirmation bias on both sides?

What valid intelligent reasons? Please be specific.

It's assuming your example applies to all examples.

I mentioned "some" nurses are not taking the vaccine and I found that interesting.

Other than that, you'd have to rephrase. My statement wasn't a personal statement, but it seems you implied my some meant all.
