Does the soul have any substance that you can point to and say "There...there it is"? I believe it has no substance that can be observed directly, yet can be recognized only through realization.

Your thoughts?

I really dislike the word "soul." But here goes...

If your "soul" had substance and you were able observe it and say, "There it is," who would it be that was observing it? Can the sun shine upon itself?

If God's imagination is our reality then perhaps the soul is God's memory of us, our soul has no more substance than our reality but exists as a separate yet persistent context?

I am not able to ascertain the ultimate nature of reality, and I'd need to do that if I wanted to decide what souls were.

I suspect that what we call a "soul" is really some sort of energy signature, or pattern, unique to us.
