The Jehovah's witnesses and the rest. What's the stumper?

Muffled

Jesus in me
I believe you can ask JW's if they ever received Jesus as Lord and Savior. If not then they are only Christians because they call themselves that.

It seems to me that if you don't believe Jesus is God then you are not likely to call Him Lord.

No. Martin Luther had no wish to form a new church. Neither did the Anglicans. Neither did Rome or Constantinople. They merely excommunicated each other and carried on.
I reply: Martin Luther WAS a Catholic he was a Catholic Priest! He was removed as a False teacher! He was AMONG Catholics he was IN the Catholic Church!
sojourner the Catholic Church was NOT Among Martin Luther!
2 Peter 2:1 But there were also false prophets among the people, just as there will be false teachers among you. They will secretly introduce destructive heresies, even denying the sovereign Lord who bought them—bringing swift destruction on themselves.
This scripture PROPHESY cannot work in the reverse.... Luther was AMONG Catholics he was removed as a False teacher... He was removed as Heretic! All who adhere to the teachings of Martin Luther have roots in HERESY they have roots to False teaching! Luther taught "We don't need Church all we need is the scriptures ALONE!" Scriptures tell us Jesus left on earth a Authoritative church a TEACHING Church! Luther had to reject the scriptures to teach his heresy!
The Prophesy proves Luther wrong! It proves King Henry wrong!

sojourner Verse #2 of this prophesy proves the Holy Catholic Church is the Way Of Truth!
2 Many will follow their depraved conduct and will bring the way of truth into disrepute.
Verse 2 proves Luther and all who trust their salvation in Luther's teaching outside of "The Way Of Truth"!

exchemist The Great Commission tells us Jesus will always be with his Church to the end of time! You disagree because your church is trying to "Form Anew" the Church! You are forced to reject the words of Jesus otherwise your church is WRONG there is NO need to build a church that was never lost!
You say it does not make sense because it goes against what your church teaches!
You are making this up. How can you know what I disagree with, when you know nothing about what I think?
I have said nothing about "my church" forming anything anew, or about churches being lost or found.

None of this makes any sense at all to me.

Are you a crank of some sort?

Everyone has their own definition of their faith mate. You are acting just like the orthodoxy making others heretics.

This post was not meant for condemnation of theologies. It was meant to discuss ideas. Generally people who decide for others and decide for God worship their own desire/ego as God.

Unity allows for differences. Uniformity does not.
Differences in what?
Characters, hobbies, abilities, disabilities, preferences, jobs and more. But mostly every JW I have ever known trusts in their books, their leadership and guidance, their literature, their faith.... They conform and they have unity.
But they do not focus so much upon uniformity, they don't wear similar clothing, or use the same vehicles.... :)

Exactly what are you trying to show about JWs? Something negative? I'm not a JW but I have known JWs for over half a century and I do have great respect for them. They certainly seem to be in unity to me.

I believe I can back it up with the Bible. All my writing comes directly from God. I am not creating any heretics. I am just saying if you don't waddle like a duck then you aren't a duck.

Back what up? Your declaration of heresy and condemnation and damnations? Hmm. Of course you can. Anyone can justify many things. The problem is its not relevant.

Cheers.

I've known many as well. Their uniformity lies in uniformity of thought and belief. differences in that regard are not allowed.

Christians (non JW) generally believe that Jesus was the Son of God, and God himself, part of the trinity. But JW's as I know don't believe that the Holy Spirit is God, and they don't believe in the trinity as stipulated in the Athanasian Creed. They believe otherwise. Well, there will be many theological differences between the two faiths that one could not list in a post concisely.

The Nicene council in 325 as we all know was a repercussion of the divide between the eternal nature of Jesus Christ and the Arian view that he was a creation at some point though he was there before creation. Where do the JW's stand? As seen in probably all the faiths of significant numbers there are and were many theologies since the beginning, but the variance in this topic is of a curious nature where the difference is vast and stems from the same person, Jesus Christ who is a divine being considered the Son of God. Not just an adopted son or a title-given son like many in the Old Testament, but a begotten son.

Though Jehovah's Witnesses call themselves as such I have seen and heard JW's say that they are Christians or how Christians should be. But well, is not that what everyone says? Should all who call themselves Christians just be Christians anyway? Nevertheless, JW's call themselves by the divine name of God though they include the J in YHWH which some oppose to though they too had added J to Jesus's name though he is called Iesous or/and Yashua depending on the language you wish to pick. JW's don't like to call themselves protestants but they're Christians in a similar fashion to the Roman Catholics who are Christians but not protestants. Protestants are Christians but some of them deny that the others are Christians.

What is the primary question that JW's are answering in this division? Whats the Stumper? Can JW's and other Christians in the forum provide some insight?

We're actually very simple people. We don't believe God, Jesus and the holy spirit are the same entity because there are a number of bible scriptures that make us believe otherwise. And we call ourselves Christian because we follow the teachings of Christ.
What other religious organizations do or believe is entirely up to them.

Your posts are as bad as the JWs with their divisiveness. What do you have to say about the Orthodox and Anglicans?
sojourner FACTS cannot be changed.. History cannot be changed! Anglicans were Catholics until King Henry rejected the One Holy Catholic Apostolic Church Jesus founded on rock! If you are OUTSIDE you cannot at the same time be Inside! Scriptures are clear.. "Listen to the Church or be treated as Pagan"!
sojourner a Pagan is someone OUTSIDE of God' family! Martin Luther nor King Henry listened to the Church! The Orthodox are different they believe all truths except reject the Authority of Peter' successor!
Jesus established ONE Church.. God cannot be divided up mixed in with error! One BODY and ONE TRUTH! King Henry and Luther started churches directly in PROTEST against Jesus!
Jesus loves his Church he died for his Church!!
Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her

The One Church Jesus established and founded on ROCK is Holy and without blame!!
27 and to present her to himself as a radiant church, without stain or wrinkle or any other blemish, but holy and blameless.

sojourner He who hears the Church hears Jesus! He who rejects the Church rejects Jesus!
Luke 10:16Whoever listens to you listens to me; whoever rejects you rejects me; but whoever rejects me rejects him who sent me.”
Martin Luther King Henry rejected God!

You are also forced to reject the scriptures this is what all in Protest against the One Church Jesus established must do.. OTHERWISE
sojourner otherwise you would be a Catholic!

Vee good to meet you.... Question so you are happy living with the chaos!? God does not cause chaos Satan does Satan divides men! FACT: There can only be one truth! 2+2=4.
The idea of "Scriptures ALONE are all man needs to find truth" is the root cause of all the many man made churches all IN Protest against Jesus and the ONE Holy Church he founded on rock!
Scriptures are very clear... Jesus is ALWAYS WITH his Church to the very end of time! You MUST reject these words of God to stay where you are!
Christians believe the words of Christ they are Christ followers!
Ignatius of Antioch is a Christian he said this in 110 A.D.
“I have no taste for corruptible food nor for the pleasures of this life. I desire the bread of God, which is the flesh of Jesus Christ . . . and for drink I desire his blood, which is love incorruptible” (Letter to the Romans 7:3 [A.D. 110]).
Ignatius of Antioch wrote this in 107 A.D.
Where there is Christ Jesus, there is the Catholic Church.”
