I notice this place is called "Religious Forums", so what does that mean? Are we expected to be curious about other religions, and ask them questions and compare beliefs? What's the use in that? If you want to learn about a religion, why not read a book? I don't get it.

So what is the purpose of this forum?

For me, it is not to talk about religion, but rather talk about all things, with other religious peoples.

In your opinion, what is the main purpose of this forum?
What sort of things do you like to talk about? Because personally, I'm sick of talking about religion, and it seems like that's all anyone wants to do, or thinks they're supposed to do.

Uh, welcome to Religious Forums.

Where RELIGIOUS people talk about *all things*

...Seriously @Rival, why don't you just get rid of all the science, arts, entertainment, food and other sub-forums if you want to have a boring forum that only talks about religion. This place is no fun anymore.

The purpose of the forum is to discuss, compare and debate religion while engaging in fellowship with one another.

RF Mission Statement

I like to discuss religion are read about first person experiences. For me, much more can be learned about religion from experiences (those of others and one's own) than can be learned by simply reading a book.

Yes, those subfora exist, but the forum's first purpose is for discussion of religion by those interested, religious or not. Complaining about religious discussion here is like complaining about potato in your chips.

It is generally accepted that those who wish to register on this religious forum, do so in order to talk to others about religion.

But you don't have to be, (AS YOU SAY) a religious nut to register on a religious Forum, you can be a biblical ignorant atheist, who simply wants to disrupt the conversations of the religious people, or try to convert a believer over to their godless and hopeless way of life.

That sounds really boring. I would never be interested in that.

Landon, you just made it my (and everyone else's) business.
This thread just made it our business.

I'm not obligated to answer your questions. neither are you obligated to answer mine, and I'd actually prefer staff not to answer these questions or post here in this thread. But if you staff members want to have attitude, and display your dominance, then that will be pretty obvious for everyone to see, so have at it. Show us how it is.

Yes, if staff would refrain from posting or voting in this thread, it would be greatly appreciated.

No, you're not obligated to answer, yet you still do.

I'm responding to your posts here as a member, not as a staffer, and I won't speak for @Rival, but I'm confident she is doing the same, so please stop playing the "persecuted by the staff" card. No one is buying it.

Then I refer you back to post #6 of this thread.

Besides Salix, like I asked Rival, why have subforums on food, entertainment, art, politics, science, etc., if all were supposed to talk about is religion. That's not a question. It's a statement.
