According to F.B.I. statistics, violent crime has dropped ~%49 in the years 1993-2017 so things are getting better overall in that area. Of course it would be great if we didn't have any but that is unrealistic.

I shouldn't expect that there will be any deterrent to such mass murders in the USA. They'll just go on and on.

Of course, just reviewing the 85(ish) gun deaths per day rate in the USA, I just wonder where the other 70 gun deaths happened?

People kill people , it's a fact of life. You deal with it whenever it happens with hopefully as in this scene, the Killer is stone cold dead and won't hurt anybody else ever again.

Many others will take his place though, unfortunately.

I'm anti-gun and all for making it harder for people to murder other people, but they'll will just come up with different ways to do it... always have. The line has to be drawn somewhere. I don't want to get arrested for posession of fishing string or a plastic bag.
