Trump Tax Returns - Does it Really Matter to You?

Twilight Hue

Twilight, not bright nor dark, good nor bad.
You do realise that Trump himself denounced the electoral college a few years before he won with it, right? Was he a "socialist" then? (It's obvious you have no idea what that term actually means given how you overuse/misuse it.)
Actually Trump was a Socialist Democrat once. :OP

I used to be against the electoral college myself. Until I got educated on why it was there. I suppose by your definition I was once a socialist too.

Anyways the term socialist sticks with the Dems. It's fitting and accurate.

I might not like the rules of games I've played, eg, chess.
But when I played, I didn't complain afterwards that I should've
won because the rules should've been different.
While Trump might not like the EC, it's still the the legal determinant
of who wins. So it's perfectly reasonable to play according to its rules.

I can also guarantee you that if there ever came a time when a Republican won the popular vote and a Democrat won the electoral college, that you would be firmly protecting said electoral college with all your might, mind and typing skills.
If a democrat won by electoral college, conservatives would certainly be screeching and squealing about it.

Here is some Trumpy tweets from the 2012 election:

My point is that people's attitudes toward rules change depending on whether they're benefital or a hinderance.

My definition?
I want you to define socialism for me (this should be good.)

Much has been made over Trump releasing his tax returns and there has been a lot of noise from the democrats and political opponents and recently a democratic 2020 presidential hopeful vowed he'd release his for the last seven years but who cares? Trump was freely and fairly elected without releasing his tax returns.

A few questions:

-Why is it important to some that Trump release his tax returns

In order to present at least a token effort at attaining transparency, discouraging corruption and conflict of interests.

-Do you think the renewed calls are politically motivated since the Mueller report didn't work out the way democrats wanted?
I think that in even asking the question you show considerable wishful thinking.

It does not even matter whether they could conceivably be. It would amount to asking about the immediate cause of interest. The actual merit is untouched by that ephemeral circunstance.

Here's your education.

What is the difference between Communism and Socialism?

Answer: not much.

Want some instances of people quoting from the communist manifesto as socialism to liberals on the street who can't tell between the two?

Want some real life examples like comrade's Bernie boy and AOC ?

You said that a billionaire businessman like Trump was a socialist, which tells me all I need to know regarding your insight on socialism.

There's a term used in auto racing that's relevant here: towing championship.

It's the term for when a slow driver wins a championship by racking up starting points, finishing points, etc. by going to many events over a wide area. It's an acknowledgment that the person won by the letter of the rules even though the rules didn't properly capture the thing that the championship is supposed to be about (i.e. identifying the consistently fastest driver).

Asking whether the rules encourage the result that people care about is hardly a new thing.
