I find, it's the 'book itself' that is from the founding of the world of mankind (especially with Abel - Matthew 23:35 ).
'The book' Not the people or persons in the book that is from the founding of the world of mankind.
Remember: one's name can be added or blotted out of the book - Exodus 32:33; Psalms 69:28.
That to me is a reason we are all given two (2) choices at 2 Peter 3:9 to ' repent ' or we will ' perish ' (be destroyed).
ALL who choose to be un-repentant wicked will end up 'destroyed forever' (Psalms 92:7) as in ' second death '.
The haughty figurative ' goats ' of Matthew 25:31-33 will Not end up with their names in the book of life.
There is still time to 'repent' if one wants to have one's name in the book of life ( everlasting life ).
The "
books" are different than
"book of life", which is "another book". The "books" are the "books" of "remembrance" (Malachi 3:16) written for those who "fear the LORD". The "many" of Matthew 7:13 feel they are already "saved", and have nothing to repent of, and nothing to fear. They think they are "released from the Law" (Romans 7:6).
Those not written in the "book of life" "written from the foundation of the world" will worship the "beast" (Revelation 13:8). That "beast" was already slain (Revelation 13:3), and the world still worships that "beast" "who was, is not, is himself also an eighth" (Revelation 17:11).
New American Standard Bible Revelation 20:12
And I saw the dead, the great and the small, standing before the throne, and
books were opened; and
another book was opened, which is the book of life; and the dead were judged from the things which were written in the
books, according to their deeds.
New American Standard Bible Malachi 3:16
Then those who feared the LORD spoke to one another, and the LORD gave attention and heard it, and a book of remembrance was written before Him for those who fear the LORD and who esteem His name.
