1. I do have to rely on other sources like Strong's concordance, Vines, and Brown Driver Briggs
Interesting order, but perhaps we'll get to that later ...

2. When it come to a Hebrew translation I rely on 2 translations JPS Hebrew English Tanach and my New world translation.
3. I have always trusted that JPS is the most trusted translation for the Hebrew scriptures. And the new world translation, because the organization is so thorough when it comes to being honest to the text ...
Kudos. I'm impressed.

4. But as for Genesis 1:1-3 I honestly have not taken a look at the Hebrew grammar Except for the word bara.
5. maybe you can enlighten me on why it is so important?
So, by "Ask me any bible related question" you really meant "Ask me any bible related questions that I deem important"?

How so? Surely you know that the Bible says that on the order of two million Hebrews left Egypt, no record can be found of them there, nor of the plagues, nor is there the evidence of their travels which would surely could be found if the story were real.

I know what the Bible says and I know was archaeology tells us; I've studied the topic off and on for decades. In fact, I would be enormously surprised to find that you were anywhere near as well read on the topic.

Whether or not that is true, the argument:

the Biblical Exodus clearly did not happen
[therefore]
Moses did not exist
is simply bankrupt and shares some of the dubious qualities of the mythicist stance in the Historical Jesus debates.

Feel free to ask me about the theology of scripture, manuscripts, life biggest questions, alleged contradictions, context of passages etc... I dont know everything but I like to hear the objections and the difficult questions and problems people have with scripture. Please provide the references if possible, and any relevant evidence.

OK, I could give you hundreds if not thousands, but for starters, how about this: why is Judas going to hell since God used him to carry out his plan of getting Jesus crucified and saving humanity? Without Judas, there's no betrayal, no crucifixion, and thus no salvation of humanity, yet the bible says he's going to hell.

It is hardly "bankrupt" and you took quite a bit out of context. I did admit that he may be legend as so many other characters are. What evidence do you think there is to support his existence?

It is completely bankrupt.

Nonsense.
I did admit that he may be legend as so many other characters are.
That is irrelevant.

That is worse than irrelevant; it's a pathetic attempt to shift the burden of proof in an effort to prop up a worthless argument.

Now let's both stop derailing this thread ...

please provide the references. and your may be write when it comes to scribal errors that can be corrected or those problems that are easily solved. But I will sincerely ask you which passages of scripture corrupt the message of the bible or any fundamental doctrine?
I’m skeptical that, given the nature of the texts and how they were compiled and edited, that there exists a single, overarching “message”or “fundamental doctrine.” The Bible isn’t primarily a story book or a doctrinal statement.

You may say "Ewww!", but since Genesis 3:20 tells us, Eve was to become "the mother of everyone living", it was probably his sister, or a niece.

Their genetics, being so close to the perfection that A & E lost, wouldn't have been a problem. Even Abraham, many generations further removed, married his half-sister, Sarah. No problems.

I must admit it does make laugh when I think of all the judgements that have been fired at me by Bible believing christians for being in an Open Marriage, and without exception I’m told their not judging me its just what God’s word says. Yes, right....

Can you provide testable, falsifiable evidence that the god of the Bible is real? If not, then the bible is on the same level as other ancient stories.

So you have nothing. I merely stated the obvious. If you wanted evidence you should have asked for it rather than making an even stronger false statement that you have not been able to support at all when support was requested. If you had asked for support from me for my statement and then I demanded support for yours that would have been an attempt to shift the burden of proof. Instead that is what you did.

It’s not whether it’s true it’s the truth we get out of it when we read it. You can get life transforming truth from reading a cerial box.
