What Would Be Your Appeal on Judgement Day?

I wouldn't plead. I'd just say, "If I'm going to Hell, can I have metal playing in the background like I was told it would in my previous life?"

So lets say we've already failed, and along comes Judgement day on earth, where after there will be eternal life in paradise on the new earth; everyone else is to be chucked into the incinerator...

What would you plead to show that there has been a mistake in why you should be worth keeping? o_O

In my opinion. :innocent:

I would explain that I spent years debating with theists of all stripes, and pleaded for solid evidence of a god's existence. I would say that despite this, none of the believers over thousands of years were ever able to demonstrate that a god actually existed, therefore, I was unable to believe. I would further point out that the god gave me the capacity to reason and be rational, and nothing in the way of evidence was provided by the god to me which made believing seem rational. I would recommend that perhaps things were backwards, and since billions of those believing in the god over thousands of years were never able to provide the evidence that the god surely would know was necessary, the believers might be at fault and have failed in that regard, as well as the god itself, therefore, perhaps the god and it's believers should be the ones punished.

Because you have faith in your standards, because you know in your heart of hearts that your valor shines through any obstacle, and damned if you're going to go to an incinerator, when you've got lots of living to do.

Plus with an answer like that, God might see someone who is willing to turn around and question, if given the opportunity.

In my opinion. :innocent:

Then it would be exactly as I said.

Failed, how? Without knowing the criteria I wouldn't bother pleading. After all, anyone throwing a whole species in an incinerator is clearly a despot.

I think all I could say is I gave it the best I could, I did the most research I could, I tried to be a good person the best I could, I did my best to have a relationship with the creator, and I tried looking at all information with an unbiased perspective, and I tried to rely on god the best I could. I fall very short even now, but at least I could say I have put up the greatest fight I had in me. if that is not good enough then I deserve to die

I like most all of the responses people have made...for an all-knowing deity to not know WHY I did the things I did and believed the beliefs I did, and then expect me to put up a defense...

But to give a more-or-less serious answer: LOVE. I have loved, and been loved.

If that isn't good enough, then I'm pretty sure that no other defense I could come up with would work, either...and I'm not sure it would be worth it to try to come up with one.

There will be no such day. Period.

Rev 22:12
Behold I come quickly and my reward is in my hand to give to every-man according as his work shall be.

2 cor 5:10
For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.

The judgment is just to hand out your reward based on what you earned .

If you lived after the flesh Rom 8:13 Adultery fornication uncleanliness Lasciviousness Lying, stealing malicious hateful hating one another Eternal death

Rom 8:6 For to be carnally minded is death( Eternal Death); but to be spiritually minded is life ( Eternal Life )and peace.

If your name is not found in the book of life you will be rewarded with eternal death. If you overcame sin then you made the first Resurrection and the second death has no power over you and you live and reign with Christ for a 1000 years. Rev 20:6 Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years Rev 2:11 ; He that overcometh shall not be hurt of the second death.

I'd bring in my attorney... Jesus

Jesus: "Hello Yahweh sir, See these nails in my hands?" [ shows them to Yahweh and audience] "Well THIS MAN is responsible, AND I HAVE THE VIDEO EVIDENCE TO PROVE IT!"
Man on trial: "That's not me!!!"
Jesus: "It is if I say it is"
Man on trial: "That's not fair. You're supposed to be defending me???"
Jesus: "Psyche!"
Yahweh: "Will the witness please come to the stand"
Satan: "Yes father, I am ready" [evil laugh]
Man on trial: "What, Jesus payed you off?????"

Sorry, but if you're going to use folk stories, legends or mythology to support your position, shouldn't you establish their accuracy first?

Um, I think you're over-thinking this.
No "over" about it, just normal thinking.

It turns out that nobody have to plead for anything, a god who creates God comes to rescue humanity from the creation he has created. He thinks God is imperfect so he strips God's supernatural power. God then go to hell, it's a natural consequence because he doesn't believe in the existence of god nor obey god. After that god start another creation project in hope to finally create an obedient and good God.

Not at all.
I don't believe in "sin".
So my blasphemy, working on the sabbath, eating meat on Fridays,
coveting my neighbor's wife.....tis all of no consequence. As for what
really matters....I don't murder, steal, or fail to honor my agreements.

As heathens go, I've always liked you despite your Revoltingness. I don't always agree with your food choices but hey.....to each his own.

We will all stand or fall by what we have, or haven't done....and by the decisions we made and why we made them.

If you have no belief in God and are proud of who you are...who is anyone to argue?

Eat drink and be merry....you don't believe there is any other life anyway....do you?

The accuracy of the Bible has been proven over an over and over. When they said that Pilot in the bible as governor Judea did not exist.
This is what happened!!

UNTIL 1961, there was no concrete archaeological evidence that Pontius Pilate, the fifth governor of Judaea, ever existed. There were accounts of him, of course, not least the accounts in the Gospels. But the records of his administration had disappeared completely: no papyri, no rolls, no tablets, no (authentic) letters to Rome. The Roman ruins that remained in Israel seemed to have nothing to do with him. Even his aqueduct - a project that got him into plenty of trouble at the time - appeared to have crumbled away.

In the summer of 1961, however, Italian archaeologists found a piece of limestone, 82cm wide by 68cm high, in the ruins of a sports stadium in Caesarea, beside the sea. The stadium had not been there in Pilate's time; he had yelled at his gladiators in another place. But the stone bore his name, and much else besides.

Th accuracy of the bible verified.

When The Bible foretold an event yet to happen about the city of Tyre in Lebanon. EZ 26:4 Date of prophecy 590–570 B.C : I will also scrape her dust from her, and make her like the top of a rock. ... scrape you like a rock/Link Prophecy against Tyre
The date of the prophecy was 240 years before it happened.

Archaeology Info:
Is Bible Prophecy Specific and Accurate? Look at the Ancient City of Tyre! ‹ The Bible Can Be Proven

I think we can see that these are very clear predictions. Nothing vague about them. And we can also see these predictions are plainly contained in the verses of Ezekiel quoted above, and we determined these were written anywhere from 590–570 B.C. So all that remains is to compare them with actual historical data.

The siege of Nebuchadnezzar: Nebuchadnezzar indeed laid siege to Tyre from 585–573 B.C., a thirteen-year siege in all. Tyre was situated so there was a mainland city on the coast and an island part of the city. When Nebuchadnezzar entered and destroyed the mainland city he found that most of the people had moved to the island part of the city. Nebuchadnezzar stopped there and did not go on to conquer the island.

Tyre’s stones and rubble cast into the sea: Two hundred forty years later Alexander the Great attacked the now heavily walled island city of Tyre. He encountered a well-fortified city indeed, and it was hard to get near it without being hit by weapons and objects thrown from behind its walls. So Alexander the Great devised a strategy to build a causeway from the mainland to the island. He did this by casting the debris and stones of the ruins of the mainland city into the water. So just as predicted many nations came against Tyre, and the city ruins were literally thrown into the water. As he progressed by using the stones and debris as a causeway he encountered deeper water and more resistance closer to the island.

Many nations come against Tyre: Alexander needed a larger navy to conquer the city, and so he organized and used the navies of six or seven countries he had already conquered, to bring them against Tyre and blockade the city. He finally built up the causeway enough to use battering rams and other weapons to break down the city walls. Alexander conquered Tyre three years later. Notice how the verse in Ezekiel 26:12 reads: “They. . .shall lay thy stones and thy timber and thy dust in the midst of the water.” This was after Nebuchadnezzar, when Alexander and many other nations were attacking; therefore the term “they” was used

These are just a couple among many such bible events verified over and over by archaeology.

So do your research before you claim folk stories, legends or mythology

The Bible is accurate and true. Thats why I use it to support my claims
