Hehe. I see Trump more as the greatest Troll who has yet surfaced. The only way I can explain his bizarre tweets is that he is throwing red meat at hungry lions - who never cease to take the bait. In some ways, if it is intentional deflection, his tweets are brilliant. If they are meant to be taken seriously... that is problematic.

So you're saying our president is a troll? And that we should simply ignore the words coming out of our leader?

Great...

As a towering intellect (for once, not said dripping
in sarcasm), you must have your reasons.
I demand to know them!
Look at the state of the country when Obama took office, including the trends. Look at them when he left.
Now, as has been pointed out, Trump hasn't been in office for long. But we do have experience about what happened when Bush II, with solid support on Capitol Hill, went on a tax and regulations cutting spree while also cranking up federal spending.

So I don't see this as a difficult question to answer. Unless Trump makes a 180 on policies, which is not impossible given his record, Obama will probably be the best president of the 21st century for some time to come.

I like most of Trump's economical policies, I hate most of his social policies. Trump acts like a juvenile with access to the internet.

Not all tax cuts are the same.
I thought Bush's were poorly designed compared to Trump's.

I do understand what you are saying here.
But here's two important things about Obama's economic policies.

A)He was in full on damage control from day one. The economy and the budget were both disasters, inherited from the Republicans and Bush II.

B) For most of his tenure, the last 6 years, the Republicans dominated Capitol Hill. They broke no bones about their top priority, which was to block Obama. Any effort by the White House to improve things for the American people was sabotaged to prevent Obama and the Democrats from having any successes to run campaigns on.
That's the main reason that ACA became such a problem. The Republicans were determined to make it a problem. Whenever a Republican supporter complains about it, I can't help but wonder if they actually watched any news in the last few years.

And now we are seeing the tables turned and the Democrats vigorously resisting anything the Republicans want to do. Welcome to toxicity.

I don't believe that is true.
I believe that the Democrats would support a big infrastructure plan.
It's the borrowing the money from the grandkids part that they are objecting to.
The Republicans have become the party of fiscal insanity.

Both are borrow & spend parties.
But when a Pub is Prez, suddenly the Dems feign fiscal conservativism.

Obama is about what I'd expect from a president. He did some things I really liked, then did some things I was really disappointed in.

Trump is an absolute train wreck.

Easy poll.

Oh that's right. The false equivalency thing.
I am considering what went on during the Clinton years
Then the Bush II years
Then the Obama years
And now the Trump years....

Nope. I am not seeing it. Show me where the Democrats have cranked up spending and cut income the way the Republicans have.

You can no longer pretend to be a conservative when you spout vapid liberal shibboleths.

Yes, I wonder about that. Like feeding bread crumbs to the pigeons at the park. Then watch the feeding frenzy.

Kind of sadistic in a way, throwing some random words out there and watching the hoopla that results. I imagine it being highly entertaining.

Not very presidential but I can think of more harmful ways for a president to find entertainment, like starting a war... cough, cough... Bush.

You should stop using your false equivalency BS if you're going to dodge the facts when you get called on it.
There is not an equivalency between the Republicans and the Democrats when it comes to fiscal sanity over the last few decades. The facts are out there for you to find.

If you search for "USA deficit spending" (as I have), you'll discover your error,
ie, that borrowing & spending is the norm for both parties. One brief exception
was when Clinton (D) & Gingrich (R) cooperated to experience a surplus.
So much for your claimed 'facts'.

I don't, when the things he says are deeply hurtful, divisive, and smack of authoritarianism. Like calling Democrats traitors and saying people coming from Latin majority nations are likely to be violent and rapists.

The things he says are a death sentence in authoritarian nations. IE: accusing political opponents of treason.

The US is not an authoritarian country, at least not yet. When it becomes such I suspect we'll have more to worry about than Twitter feeds.
