Someone needs to liberate these dark-aged countries. I hope the women in Afghanistan appreciate that they no longer have to dress like that. Could you imagine being a woman in a country where there are laws forcing you to dress like Darth Vader or get raped? It's a good thing America brought some sanity to Afghanistan.

I think it's also good that France banned the burqa. It's sick to treat women like that. There are women in my city that dress like that. It's also creepy when you can't identify or recognize the face of the person you are talking to. Don't you think?

I just think it's heartbreaking how radical Abrahamic monotheism is ruining so many lives and enforcing barbaric and asinine policies.

We need a true Messiah who will do away with this madness worldwide! Maybe that's one of the things the Antichrist will accomplish.

Forcing women to wear burqa should be banned.
If women want to freely wear those, they what can you do? They are free to do so.

Burqa was banned in France for security reasons. ( Not seeing when driving, be sure it's the right person getting the kid from school etc...) Not religious reasons.

I'm just sickened by how these people treat women. I watched women get taken to a stadium and publically humiliated and killed under the Taliban for petty accusations. America did a great service to Afghanistan.

Ah! That America! The America that's never done anything wrong, crazy, or crazy and wrong in its whole history. Yes, I like the Easter Bunny, too -- I just don't think he's real.
We are far from perfect, I'm just saying, we did Afghanistan a huge favor.

No. Banning is just the flip side of mandating.
People should be able to choose their attire. Generally, there should be no mandatory proscriptions or prescriptions.

It just angers me that they would do that to an entire gender. Women would still be forced to dress like that and be executed for petty accusations if America didn't show up.

Ah well.... I'll just be at peace with it I guess. There are a lot of Somalians where I live and they bring this madness to America, have huge families, don't integrate, and indoctrinate their kids. It's sad :(....oh well, nothing I can do about it , so might as well be happy :)

I largely agree with you.

America did a great service to Afghanistan.

Militarily invading a country might not have been the wisest way of introducing feminist reforms to it.

Lol... true... I'm glad we liberated them from dark-aged extremist Abrahamic madness...not saying we didn't make mistakes

It's interesting feminists complain so much about the wage gap but rarely ever speak up about the women treated worse than animals and condemned to a life of penance under theocracies.

If America hadn't shown up the Taliban and Islamist radicals wouldn't have followed, with their dress codes.
