Trump bans government scientists from speaking out publicly

I do believe that we have a little, no make that a major, problem with the truth here.
President Trump has not banned government employees from speaking out publicly. What he has done is banned them from using government domains to put forward personal opinions. In other words they can say what they want but can not use a government domain to "post" their opinions. This is somewhat like the Hatch Act also known as An Act to Prevent Pernicious Political Activities.

If you can read this, you are as lucky as I am.
Government cover up. They probably burned a hole in the ozone layer with HAARP testing. Ever read about HAARP? Yes pollution was bad in the 70's when America was an industrial nation, almost as bad as China today. But it did not cause the Earth to exit the ice age.

HAARP's device your referencing started use in 2007, we'll after the . . . uh. . .

I think that this conversation, and any other we may have in the future, are not going to be substantive in any way.

Okay, take care.

Can't be, since I first read about it in 2006, and it was already old news. I believe it was around in the Cold War.

No, they were told they cannot release ANYTHING without it being routed through the Office of the Secretary.

No more than he could get them to vote for him. They probably believe Climate Change is true, they've heard it enough time in school it's as real to them as Evolution.
So you would have scientists prevented from expressing their beliefs on the very science they have spent their lives studying if those beliefs conflict with Donald Trump.

Did you elect a President? Or a holy and infallible profit.

What on Earth is Holy and Infallible, or incorruptible?

Nothing, and that is my point. You want to give Trump absolute power to determine what is or is not true. And that does not work.
You want to give absolute power to a bunch of college kids, who've been sucking on the teet of the system since graduation, for simply saying man made global warming is real.

A question for those who support this action by Trump. (@Kemosloby, @Acim )
First I want to say that I would oppose this action of silencing scientists regardless of who was doing it. I would oppose this if Barrack Obama tried to do it. I would oppose it if it were Hillary Clinton, or if it were Bernie Sanders. That does not matter.

So let me ask this. If you support this action, would you support it if Barrack Obama had silenced scientists?

And what about the next President? Do you want the next President to have this power? If the next President believes in Climate change and if there are scientists in the employ of the government who disagree, should that President silence them?

Absolute power? Absolutely not. The right to speak their mind, absolutely.

They already had that power, but since Obama and Hillary were on the side of the lie, trying to make us increasingly subservient to their hidden masters at the UN, doing so would be against their agenda. I would oppose ruining America no matter who is doing it.

Do you trust the scientists who invented the technology that makes an airplane fly but not those who predict climate change.
You obviously accept computer scientists because you are on this forum. Why do you accept some science but not other?

Orville and Wilber Wright were bicycle makers. They used their ingenuity to make an airplane fly. I get that. Computer scientists make computers work. Climate Change scientists though... All I see is a new tax and regulation by the UN.

Skanky Old Mongrel!
You want me to comment on eight years of his presidency in a post. He was the most diplomatic president ever. Anything in any speech he wrote was from the heart. He held no grudges and genuinely tried to be the best and kept himself from becoming corrupt. He also kept things running. He did not return fire against racist remarks against himself and worked to smooth racial tensions. He overcame eight years of accusations of tyranny without becoming tyrannical. He successfully navigated through eight years of a congress owned by the opposing party and came out smelling like a rose. He did it all without being a US citizen, too. Not bad!

There......!
Look. You got that off your chest alright, I reckon.
(I happen to think that the recent President Obama is one of the finest statespersons and diplomats in the world)

But....... Oh dear! President Obama held that seat in the White House for eight years and NOW you mention that he was not eligible to hold it?

US elections are strange, these last years....?

The BBC is already reporting tomorrow's story about the Presidency......... enhanced interrogation techniques or something?

Every day.......... is going to be interesting. Every day.
