Accepting the lie

I don't understand how any American could support a candidate who blatantly and repeatedly lies. I'm speaking of Hillary, of course.

Yes, I know all politicians lie, and much of it is due to their pacs who have such control over them, but none so obvious as HRC.

I have had people tell me they will vote for Hillary, even though they know she is a liar. They put party above all, I guess.

When did America change? Integrity use to matter. Not so much anymore!

Thanks for listening.

I think there is merely a lack of competition. Trump has no self-control and acts childish constantly, plus he's a hot-head. Carson's ignorance on religious/social issues is astounding, and Sanders is like 100 years old.

My guess is that it is because so many have a grudging respect for her because she is so damn good at it.

When global diplomacy is on the table, complete honesty is extremely dangerous. And, once the American people know something, the rest of the world does simultaneously, thanks to social media.

There is a funny thing that has been said about Sanders's age lately.

The min age of candidacy for president is 35.
In the times of the earlier presidents that was an age knocking on deaths door.
It's as though Sanders is following tradition.

Everyone lies. I've seen no evidence that she's any worse (or better) than anyone else in Washington. I've seen loads of investigations, but no actual evidence.

Part of the problem is that politicians are always expected to know the answer. If one stood up at a question and answer session and told the truth, 80% of the answers would have to be either, "I have no clue" or "I doubt I can do anything". Who would vote for that person?

I understand, but feel I must disagree. To my thinking, someone being "diplomatic" could be far more dangerous than someone who is being honest. Just because one is being honest does not mean they are saying everything they know. Perhaps that is part of what is wrong in our world is that no one tells it like it is and everyone is left looking for intent and meaning.

I'd prefer that to blatant immaturity and vanity ... a.k.a. Trump.

Not really as it has pretty much always been this way. When one studies the history, what they often find is that the "good old days" really weren't that good. Politicians typically say what their constituents want to hear, and none currently running seem to be any different, although Bernie and Donald are at least somewhat more willing to speak their minds. This morning, though, Donald says he has to be more careful with his words from now on.

The last two Presidential elections has shown that a majority of American voters have evidently lost their sense of reason. Hang in there, maybe people are waking up.

But that was a definite improvement over the previous two elections.:p

There seems to be no evidence that she lies.
She undoubtedly has a greater knowledge of actual past government decisions and their background than we do.
That this does not always comply with biased media reports or party propaganda is hardly surprising.
But it does not make them lies.

I'm not fan of Hillary myself but people have always lied. We just have the internet now so we as a public can be more informed.

In politics, being a liar is par for the course.
