But what are you proposing in a practical sense? Ghettos for gays? Straight-only neighbourhoods? Apartheid? What exactly?
And what would you do if a gay couple moved into the house / apartment next door to you?
Yes, there are even diverse opinions about whether or not it has diversity.

I believe it is proper and costumary to establish whether you are both unattached first. Then chat for a bit, perhaps send photos. Dinner is a popular next step.

Not an option.
It would be most inhumane to throw those who are unable of accepting homosexuality as natural into ghetos. To say nothing of how unpractical it would be.
By any reasonable criteria, it is a far better option to be gentle with them until they realize they have nothing to truly fear. It can be done, and it is quite possibly inevitable even. I can already see a lot of positive advance since 2008 and Proposition Eight.

Indeed, and as I've observed before, the idea that a supreme being would be interested in what people get up to in the bedroom seems absurd anyway.

You mean like, homosexual people live together somewhere in a group and heterosexuals live somewhere else together? Why? And how on earth would that work? What about the people who don't fit neatly into those categories?
