NBC and Their Deceptive Editing

Has NBC decided that their network is in trouble? Is it that only viewers they have left are those that are, how should I say, politically well left of center. It seems that NBC has been caught at least four times editing tapes that pander to the lefts ideology. For those of you that don't remember here they are.
Wawagate. Another was the Zimmerman Edit and the latest was McCain Edit. We also remember the unintentional/intentional edit of National Anthem

What are you doing? You should know better than to accuse any network other than "Faux" of dishonesty on RF! ;)

Because the entire community of RF is just one big left-leaning sanctuary that only calls out "Fox News."

I like how news casters actually now have to devote stories to attacking each for no particular reason.

It seems that now there is some nascent balance to that.
But ugh....does this mean we'll see a plethora of dueling threads about left-vs-right news sources?
I pity the fool who reads'm all. (Like my Mr T ref?)

But let's not pick on just NBC....

Actual news sources died a long time ago, unfortunately.

Well, BBC is decent enough, and my dad tells me Aljazeera is very good for Middle-Eastern news.

Of course, the two decent ones share one thing in common: neither is American.

Yeah, I think we're in pretty good shape if we consume a broad range of sources with a jaundiced eye.
It's much better than in the old days when we had far fewer, & they weren't very trustworthy then either.

I find all major news sources in this country to be pretty abysmal and vulture-like.

No need to worry about me pulling up any left vs. right threads, they're there for everyone to see. We also have an Admin who is openly right in politics, yet another instance of RF and it's Liberal favoritism that some people overlooked. I was just trying to dispel the false notions that some people were espousing, and take away the cross people are trying to nail themselves to. :D

And how can I not like Mr. T references. That's like, instant frubals.

I've noticed that conservative staff guy.
(He's cute. Of course, you are too!)

That's a good in one sense and bad in another (both those news outlets not being in America). Sure you you get different perspective from what we get, but you also get their slants along with it, and often I find that outside perceptions of America are not very accurate, nor do they try to be. Granted, I haven't watched many newscasts from BBC and never watched one for Aljazeera so I don't know how they are in this regard, but it sure would be nice to have a news outlet in this country that isn't paid off or who's main goals are generating the largest amount of revenue stream they can through sensationalist and quite often, disingenuous reporting.

I second the recommendation for Al Jazeera and the BBC. CBC radio is pretty good too, if you like your news boring. The guardian, haaretz, the Toronto star - all still try to practice real journalism as far as I can see. There's also a really good French one but the name escapes me at the moment. La Presse, I think.

On the internet, real news network is good.

I wouldn't bother with TV news at all, especially commercial TV news, unless you like being wrong about everything.

I don't watch BBC newscasts. I just read articles periodically, if it's a story I'm interested in.
