Which flack? (Lol, flack is a dumb word.)
It was talking about how to measure how skilled one is in their magick. Can I ask without getting off thread topic, what positive LHP is? And I'm asking permission from the OP
ahh. Thought so... I never said you were a newbie.basically. BTW i'm not a "newbie" to these subjects, no need to think that
cheers
It's just a label lol, I guess to let people know i'm not practicing black magic

Your more gnostic or atleast i thought you said so earlyer?
I suppose. The term agnostic actually doesn't fit my beliefs

Black magic? You're definitely in over your head. What, in your beliefs, does magic have to do with reflected light?
Ohh shut up.. you know he was referring to lbm and gbm.
How so? I literally don't understand how color relates to magic, though I started a separate thread. I understand lesser and greater magic, this thread obviously relating to lesser for those who use the terms. Personally, to me, magic is magic as A is A. On topic, I think that if you are adept at magic you should be able to be aware of the magic of others. This is a simplified version of the already overly simply OP. To be aware of the, magic of others, imo, shows you have a decently deep understanding of the practice.
I said gnostic not agnostic. And perhaps you should post your believes and where you are on your path?
I would so being able to resist others magic is even more important it shows knowledge and controlnof self.
That's interesting. I think that resisting magic is "more important" than performing great magical feats. However, knowledge / control of self is gained through magic, both practicing and resisting. As I practice and resist magic I learn more about myself, and as I learn more about myself my magic, performing and resisting, improves. They rely on each other.
I think I agree. Back to the story I told I was and am a great manipulater. But anyone can learn todo so. I takes more and advance you more to master and manipulate your self.

I almost forgot to post here because of the quick updates.
I probably wasn't that clear some pages ago, but I still think you don't necessarily have to be conscious of someone trying to work magic on you or manipulate you. If you're a strong enough magician you're already above that and automatically brush it aside like people brush flies without really caring to pay any attention to it.
Do you take everything this literally?
While I think I understand what you mean, I'm curious where you draw the line between magic and non-magic. I took this up earlier in the thread already, but your example gives a good basis to discuss it. If someone or something affects you, do you count it as magic, or do you draw a line somewhere? What about conscious and unconscious manipulating (replace with a word of choice if needed)? As Iti said, this would be like a Master or Ippsissimis (sp?). I am neither, and in some cases could still be manipulated. For example, the magic of a beautiful woman slipped through just months back, and though called out, I definitly took some magical damage.
