Brothers and Sisters I am terrified

I stumbled upon a website called Divine Revelations (divinerevelations.info) just be chance looking up the 10 commandments and in return I was told anyways that people have had visions of Christ and Christians going to hell, for things like not keeping the Sabbath Holy, I'm scared, terrified, for my soul and for my friends and family, they offer terrifying visions of eternal punishment and punishment for those who are ignorant

IS THIS TRUE? :( I can't tell and don't want to risk being wrong

that is not true.

You should do a study on the original meaning of the words where 'hell' comes from. You will find that 'hell' comes from the hebrew word 'sheol' and the greek word 'hades'

both of these words simply mean the grave or death. They do not mean eternal suffering in fire and torment.

And you have no reason to fear hell.... even Jesus went to hell for 3 days:
Acts 2:25-27, KJV: “David speaketh concerning him [Jesus Christ], . . . Because thou wilt not leave my soul in hell,* neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption.

Use Gods word the bible as your guide and you will be free of the false ideas promoted by many people.
John 8:31 And so Jesus went on to say to the Jews that had believed him: “If YOU remain in my word, YOU are really my disciples, 32 and YOU will know the truth, and the truth will set YOU free.”

What about Lazarus and the Rich man or the lake of Fire in Revelation

Like many of Jesus stories, it was a parable, not a literal story or account.

Jesus was teaching a lesson about a change in the circumstances of two groups of people...the 'rich man' who was the spiritually wealthy religious leaders who believed they had Gods approval and blessing. And the Lazarus was the poor common people who were spiritually poor and downtrodden.

the change in their circumstances came about when Jesus appeared as their messiah. Jesus preached to those poor ones and they wholeheartedly accepted his message and was blessed.... but the rich ones were in torment over Jesus message because Jesus condemned them as hypocrites.

I have good news for you. Salvation is not obtained by works like that website says. The only way to be saved is to change your mind about all of your sins and accept Jesus as your Friend, God, Lord, and Savior. If you have done this, you are safe in Jesus. If you have not done this, please do so that you may be safe in Jesus. I want to end my note by saying that true believers will never go to Hell. I also want you to to read and meditate on the Scriptures that I will provide for you. God loves you and so do I.

Revelation is also a very 'symbolic' book. It was a vision given to John of future events. The lake of fire wasnt something which existed as a literal place. It is something which signified 'destruction'

Look at what is going to be destroyed in the lake of fire:

Rev 20:13 And the sea gave up those dead in it, and death and Ha′des (hades = hell) gave up those dead in them, and they were judged individually according to their deeds. 14 And death and Ha′des were hurled into the lake of fire. This means the second death, the lake of fire

Hell and death are both thrown into the lake of fire.... neither of these things exist as real entities...they cannot literally be burned so the lake of fire is also not a literal place. Death is going to be destroyed and so is hell.
And if you look at the first part of that verse, it says that people will be brought OUT of hell. So hell is not a place of eternal torment if people are going to be saved out of it.

hell means the grave....the place where we go to when we die. It will be destroyed when all those who have died are resurrected back to life on earth. They will have life everlasting and because no one will ever die again, death and hell can both be destroyed forever in the symbolic 'lake of fire'.

Do not be worried that the God who came down to earth to defeat death for you will torture you. That is my opinion.

I believe, and am taught, that heaven and hell are both the presence of God... and our experience of bliss or torment will depend on how we react to that presence. If we love the Lord we will bask in the unadulterated presence of God and experience bliss.

Metaphors, not literal. It's a shame that people can be this terrified of God.
Lk12:5 But I will show you whom you should fear: Fear him who, after the killing of the body, has power to throw you into hell. Yes, I tell you, fear him.

I know it seems ridiculous and my emotions are completely out of whack I've never been so anxious, frightened and nervous in my life, manly because I can't really debunk what that website says,

I can't really debunk what that website says,
2 Tim 1:7
For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.

1 John 4:18
There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.

God loves you, you love God... no need for fear.

People have been telling me my Christian up bring was a diluted gospel that was founded on cheap grace and not the "narrow path" that Jesus preached about

Christianity isn't based in fear... it is a release from fear. We are never told perfection is required, only that we need to attempt it. We are also told we will fail.

I'm not saying you have license to do whatever you want. We should try everything we can not to err, but we know that as long as we are faithful in our attempts at perfection and our love of God we have a father who loves us and will forgive us.

Lets see if the bible can debunk some of the claims on this site:

doom and gloom website says:
"She witnessed many of our esteemed cultural icons suffering in the Pit; along with singers, entertainers, and even a pope. Angelica was also shown how the Kingdom of Heaven is all wonderfully prepared and ready, an unimaginable glorious place, where no evil exists. Though Jesus is ONLY coming back for a Holy People, and many of God's children will NOT be ready on that day, and will be left behind in a world that will fall apart."

Bible says:
Revelation 7:9 After these things I saw, and, look! a great crowd, which no man was able to number, out of all nations and tribes and peoples and tongues, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, dressed in white robes; and there were palm branches in their hands. 10 And they keep on crying with a loud voice, saying: “Salvation [we owe] to our God, who is seated on the throne, and to the Lamb."...13 And in response one of the elders said to me: “These who are dressed in the white robes,... And he said to me: “These are the ones that come out of the great tribulation, and they have washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb. "

doom and gloom website says:
"23 Minutes in Hell: An incredible Testimony of Bill Wiese and his 23 minute trip to Hell. Bill was placed in Hell, not as a casual observer, but as someone who was not saved. He recounts all the horrid details with such precision that it captivates the listener from start to finish. "

Bible says people who have died are not conscious of anything, so hell cannot be a place they will even know they are in:
Ecclesiasties 9:5 For the living are conscious that they will die; but as for the dead, they are conscious of nothing at all...10 All that your hand finds to do, do with your very power, for there is no work nor devising nor knowledge nor wisdom in She′ol, the place to which you are going
Psalm 146: 4 His spirit goes out, he goes back to his ground;
In that day his thoughts do perish

doom and gloom website says:
"Jesus showed up in the middle of their group prayer to reveal to them what happens to the disobedient and wicked. This will help you develop a healthy fear of God, and to avoid sins that will lead souls to Destruction."

Bible says that God would never conceive of such a horrid idea as burning someone in fire:
Jeremiah 32:30 “‘For the sons of Israel and the sons of Judah have proved to be mere doers of what was bad in my eyes, ...a cause of anger in me ... 35 Furthermore, they built the high places of Ba′al that are in the valley of the son of Hin′nom, in order to make their sons and their daughters pass through [the fire] to Mo′lech, a thing that I did not command them, neither did it come up into my heart to do this detestable thing"

Only those who have not come to know God would teach such things. If you know God, you know that he would never do such a wicked evil.... he is a God of love and all his ways are love. Anyone who teaches something contrary to the love of God, is not getting their teachings from God.

I don't want to say it is, but is Jesus a friendly neighbor our a King who requires more of us

Matt 7:22 Not everyone who says to me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven.

I'm not tiring to be stubborn I'm just scared, I FELT the Holy Spirit undoubtedly when I first read the Gospels and I've been told that means I'm 'Born Again' but more and more I hear that you can fall from Grace and if something I am doing is causing that without me knowing I'm afraid

To Pegg: I was an Annihilist prior to my stumbling upon this website, I know it seems silly, but I won't pretend I'm in a rational mindset right now

Do you realize that you cannot be 'born again' until you have died?

So really, no one who is still in a 'fleshly body' can say they have been born again because that wont happen to anyone until they have died and received a resurrection to heavenly life.

John 3:4-5 Nic‧o‧de′mus said to him: “How can a man be born when he is old? He cannot enter into the womb of his mother a second time and be born, can he?” 5 Jesus answered: “Most truly I say to you, Unless anyone is born from water and spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God"

being born again means to enter the heavenly kingdom... something which does not happen until you have died and been resurrected.

these websites are designed to put fear into you because fear is something that makes us weak and controllable.

the church used this same fear tactic during the dark ages...people were too scared to even look at a bible. The goal is to keep you away from God.

Do not allow that to happen to you. Satan is at work here, you need to stand up to his attacks.

What about the eternal sin what does that entail,

should we put no trust in prophets or near death experiences? What is the way to know the fake.

This website says sin kills and makes references to the parable of the Sheep and Goats or the 10 Virgins, I don't think it makes claim to salvation by works, it does however preach a soon coming rapture. Please forgive me Sister, I am scared and in need of comfort :(

The fact that you are scared tells me you do not have to worry about this.People who fall from grace do not care and do not fear hell. God has you and he loves you.

What about the eternal sin what does that entail,

this is when a person sins against Gods holy spirit...it is called the 'unforgivable sin'
It is the sort of sin Satan is guilty of. It is the sin of willful deliberate calculated opposition to Gods holy spirit. If you committ that sin, you would be an apostate who seeks to destroy the faith of Gods people.

should we put no trust in prophets or near death experiences? What is the way to know the fake.

Trust the bible to identify the false prophets. Remember Johns words:
1 John 4:1  Beloved ones, do not believe every inspired expression, but test the inspired expressions to see whether they originate with God, because many false prophets have gone forth into the world

You must really know your bible well in order to be able to 'test' the inspired expression. Study the bible, learn what the original languages mean, learn learn learn. Only then will you be equipped to 'test' what people say. The bible has everything we need as Paul taught Timothy:
2 Timothy 3:16 All Scripture is inspired of God and beneficial for teaching, for reproving, for setting things straight, for disciplining in righteousness, 17 that the man of God may be fully competent, completely equipped for every good work

This website says sin kills and makes references to the parable of the Sheep and Goats or the 10 Virgins, I don't think it makes claim to salvation by works, it does however preach a soon coming rapture. Please forgive me Sister, I am scared and in need of comfort :(

can you test the 'rapture' teaching against the teachings of Gods word?

Yes you can. And if you do so, you'll find that the rapture is not a teaching found in the bible...therefore you are reading information from 'false prophets' and are being mislead.

Read the Letter of James.

Also, Rabia said:

"God, if I worship you from fear of Hell, burn me in Hell
If I worship you from fear of Paradise, exclude me from Paradise
If I worship you for your own sake, show me the beauty of the face"
