Ask UltraViolet anything about her view of Majik & Sourcery.

Violet.
While I am no "official" expert on the topic of either Magick or Sourcery,
(in an "educated" kind of way)
they are the art forms by which I quite naturally and instinctively
create and define my REALity construct(s).
And thus by my own personal daily practice of both majik & sourcery,
as I understand and utilize and grow and find such great wonder in them,
I feel qualified to offer you all at least my OWN very interesting insights
and practical experience in/of both topics (which for me dovetail).

I also hope this thread will serve to expand my own personal knowledge & insight.
If you ask about something I know little about,
I will say so, but then I will go read up on the idea/concept/thing
and get back to your question at a later time
to let you know my own personal take on it.

I will also share some photos of my altar tiers,
and things of relevant like.
Personal "tools" (or active symbolisms) of my own personal Majik.

Feel free to ask any personal and or background questions as well,
as my Majik IS so very personal and Source to my very nature as a person.
(and always has been)

Interesting. While from one perspective when you say fairytale the first thing I thought was a little offensive (fairytale-ish as in could downplay the profound sense in which UV experiences majik & sourcery - childesh - etc. Which she definately doesn't express herself that way to me so... *I'm sure ya didn't mean it that way.*), but in another way, UV has such a magickal way with words I totally see where you would have a fairytale image of her. She definately seems like something fictional, but how she weaves the majikal into her reality is what makes her "self" so present and real;) (plus totally awsome:D).

So I know very little about you UV...

What is "sourcery?" Source as in the universe and sourcery as in working its majik?

Do you believe in godesses?

In your experience, what is a nice way for others to share in something similar to what you have experienced, that has fulfilled you spiritually? (This would be like one of your favorite focus's, or very simple rituals that are not too personal:))

What is the most profound, life changing experience you have had in your spiritual journey?

Has anything scary ever happened? Anything strange?

Do you have any particularly scary, strange, or fun rituals you can kinda share without going to far into the personal part of it??

I'm just loaded with questions:D!

Can't wait to learn more about you girly!

i am not talking about her as a person. i was asking a general question by saying that the only majik and sorcery i know of is through fairytales, film etc. i know that is obvoiusly not what she means...but dont understand what she does. so was not being offensive in anyway...think my Brit humour is sometimes lost on you lot

Hey...

Do you "pray"(for lack of better understanding) for others..That is do you call on forces or higher beings or anything of that nature to intervene in antohers life?

Blessings

Does your Majic have any ties with "traditional" forms of witchcraft?

In a general conceptual sense I would say yes GC,
but in terms of traditional specifics not at all really.

For example "Spell Casting".
The basic traditional goal of spell casting would be to bring about
a pre-meditated transformation of some kind
through the well focused utterance, or casting, of a "spell".
Kind of like "spelling out" your intention to the transformational UniVerse.
In this sense my Majik is tied to the traditional.
But in the sense that my only "spell book"
is a huge red webster's encyclopedic dictionary,
the specifics of my "spells" take a much more personal turn.
Esoteric meanings, multiple meanings, symbolic meanings,
disected words, phonetical spellings, puns, homonyms
quite literally "casting" all "spelling rules" assunder...
redifining life and everything around me
to re-create and transform
reCAST and remold my entire perception/experience of reality.
From there.... my reality DOES indeed change.
That... is the Majik.

Since I am so behind on answering questions,
I'll let that one example stand for now,
as my response. I hope my answer was clear.

Are there deities to be worshiped?

I personally do not worship any deities.
Though I do personify/define the Living Sentient UniVerse (OneStory) as "God".
My REALITY and I are co-creators -- co-constructors in Life & meaning.
As well, I PERSONALLY, personify my I-doll/totem/doppelganger... ULTRA.
(and she personifies me) She is quite literally my "Altar Ego"("Alter Ego").

Actually +X , fairytales and film can be the very most powerful ways
to express the depths of majick to others.
I for one see every life as a "fiction" to be AUTHORED into Reality.

Belief is the key component that supplies the power to REALize idea into BEing.
People often suspend their "dis-belief" for the sake of embracing the magic in a movie or a book.
This is why people who rarely ever KNOW the experience of magic in "real life"
can still experience the wonder and joy of it in a well done film.

Three films that come to mind at the moment
that embody the very magics I see in my own life
would be...

A Little Princess
Nanny McFee
Mr Magorium's Wonder Emporium

These films are no more fiction than my own life.
Or yours. They are constructs of Reality.

Every life is a story.
A reality construct.
Do we embrace the magic there?
or deny it.

why do you spell magic with a j and a k?

I "Spell Magic" with all kinds of letters Mike. ;)
(26 in two Cases)

The "casting" aside of (authoritative or traditional) spelling rules
actually opens up the language.
It literally opens up the mind to new meaning.
You then OWN language and meaning.
Spelling becomes an art form.
The "Spelling Bee" BEcomes a "Spelling BE!"

If you're gunna define your own reality
you need to BEcome your OWN spelling AUTHORity.

I like (my own spelling of) Majik because it suits me,
it is a subtle symbology of my own personal magic(k).
It also keeps me from having to constantly pick a spelling.

I also like the phonetic soft j and the hard k.
Don't ask me why? I just do.

question: have you any experience with the LBRP?

Considering I had to look it up,
I'd have to say "no". :D

Actually I did read about it before
from one of Azakels wonderful links,
and I wonder now as I did then...
what is the MEANING or the goal,
the purpose of the ritual?

Nothing I have read seems to touch on
either the exoteric or the esoteric meaning of the ritual.

Would you share that with me/us if you know?

what does majik do?
can you recognize when you see a majik do-er?
does majik complete you? if yes in what ways?
are there daily things that you do? if yes, what are those?

That would be great Mike.
I actually would like to understand the symbol/power of the Pentagram itself better.
I myself seem to have a much more natural affinity/draw to the Chaos Star.
If there were a (quality) Ritual of the Arrows of Chaos I would probably "get it" by intuition.
(and I might even feel a draw to participate)
It's more of a natural link with my own personal way of seeing/thinking/& moving.

The Chaos Star excites... and is hidden there within... the way of my Majik.

For some reason I have made no magical connection with the Pentagram.
(as of yet, anyway) I have found no personal connection of meaning there.

OK! The BIG one!
What is Majik? :witch::magic:

Most simply put...

Magic= The Interactive Transformative nature of the UniVerse.

The Sourcerer is IN TUNE with the Interactive nature of his/her REALity,
and personally knows the experience of "Improbable Possibility REALized".

Dis-belief is thus suspended in the Knowing of Source
and new & purposful symbolisms are put forth
(in TERMS and ACTIONS of Magick)
to bring about a transformation of self & REality.

Magick= Purposeful and Dynamic Interaction between Individual&Universe,
(in Sign, Symbol & Staff) to bring about the REALization of Transformation.

I define my life in "terms" of Magic,
because "magical" terms best describe
my experience of and interaction with/in
the Transformative Sentient Universe.

I also have a natural affinity for magical symbolisms/icons themselves.
(I love halloween! and anything "goth")
All of these things are a part of who I am,
and how I express and interpret my relationship with self,
and (my) Reality itself...
with/in the Living Sentient UniVerse.

The practice of Magick itself
is as unique as each individual practitioner.
A sourcerer's personal Majick MUST connect at the source level...
where the Magic is found and known and experienced,
else it be little more than words uttered and powerless action.

The symbolisms, systems and tools that work for me
are particular to ME, and do not reflect on any other
sourcerer or magickian.

Majik= My own personal, active and dynamic
expression and experience of Magic!
