I don't really think that 'convince' is the same as 'convert'. For anyone to believe anything, you have to experience it for yourself, otherwise you're just 'believing' what someone else tells you. That's wouldn't be faith in a God. That's faith in religion.

Take my faith, for instance. I'm a Christian, Presbyterian. I chose my faith the same way everyone else on this forum did, because of the influence it had on my life. My soul had a longing inside of it and I could only find the answer to that longing in a loving Creator. I don't find ideas at all comforting in comparison to the knowledge that I will always be accepted and never rejected.

So, to answer your question, I don't think anything I say or anyone else says will 'convert' anybody. It's between you and God, because otherwise it's 'religion' and not 'faith'.

Violet.
sorry...
UltraViolet Majik is just for me.
It's personal.

But I'm sure your own Majik would be just as amazing!

All you have to do to be a source(r)er,
is go directly to the source within & around you.
Simple. No "hocus pokeUS" or "secret formYOUlas"

Which reality would you like to Craft?

Go for it!
Step from the source...
and watch amazing things begin to happen.

Then come back and share your experience with me!:rainbow1:
Wooo Hooo!

(Creative "spelling" is one of my very favorite Majiks.;))
Can U tell?
(though I am sometimes mislabeled a "bad speller":witch:)
OK. Perhaps there is just a bit of truth there as well....
(spelling "rules" never did appeal to me- nor did skools)
but I digress...

What, I'm not cool :sad4:.

I'm not good at thing like this, just pick, mix and match, ^_^, oh and be respectful when you do it.

Awww, you have SOME coolness in you, Azakel..........you're a hip hop fan, and that's got you some points in my book.

Just remember when Uncle Phil Sunstone and Mister_T ("Pity The Fool I Shall") try to convert you to Girls-On-Trampolines that it's actually just another Dharma path for one of the 84,000 afflictions.

I joined "Girls on Trampolines" once. I found it very one sided. No equal opportunity bouncing there. :areyoucra The beer was good though.
I personally find the one sidedness refreshing and hard to ignore. (pun intended)

Yeah, that's cool. Plus, when I'm on the trampoline, I'm the one who's being worshipped.

I don't see myself as a "trampolinist", though, because I like more interaction with my subjects. Usually all they do is stare. It gets boring after a while. ;)

I belong to the 'full contact' denomination of Girls on Trampolines!

Jesus in me
Jesus offers you eternal life. He says that the path you are on is darkness but He is the light.

As for denomination, I recommend Baptist because of their focus on scripture. Scripture will give you a foundation for your beliefs.

Beer and women may be fun but they are dangerous paths which you should have discovered by now.

I can see the appeal in that, but I can't help thinking how much more, ummm, interactive and experiential the religion would be if we were all bouncing on the trampoline together. :D

Join us... Be one of us...

I suppose that works if someone looks at your avatar and medals and has a connection. It wouldn't have worked on me before I was saved. Now if the girls on trampolines had posted a picture of busty girls in bikinis, that would have worked on me before I was saved.

I was in DC at the time attending a Baptist church that was highly evangelical. I liked it because people stayed and talked to one another after church. One day the youth group came to my door and asked me to join. There were young girls in the group so I said yes but I found out they segregated the boys from girls. I thenceforth dropped out of the youth group.

As the saying goes "you can lead a horse to water but you can't make him drink."
