Why doesnt god kill Satan?

Greetings! :)

Very simply because IOV there is no "devil" out there competing with God.

God is One, Supreme, All-loving, All-merciful, and has no equal!

And "satan" is simply a reference to our own lower (animal) nature when we give it control instead of our higher (spiritual) nature.

Simple as that.

Peace, :)

Because both God and Satan are ficticious, and in the best traditions of story telling, a battle between good and evil is needed.

Once the hero defeats the villain, the story is over. And in the case of the Bible, once that happens, we'd have paradise on Earth. Of course, if God really does get rid of Satan, the world will have to be a paradise. This isn't going to happen, and it will reveal that the Bible is just a story.

So, they keep the villain in the story for as long as possible.

Eh, I do not really know, I mean how can man really know the true answers to everything when there are an infinity of answers and varibles we haven't even considered?
But anyways, personaly, my answer would be that satan allows us are free will, which from evil good can be created, and he is giving us freedom by it.
It is a gift in an odd sorta way.
If you couldn't make the decion to fight for survial b/c free did not exsit then it would suck.
Satan=advanments in free will.

thats far more reasonable

that explains why the Joker is going on 80-90 years now

I would like to know the reason. Is god testing us?or is Satan more powerful than God?

Thanks.

If someone made a charge before the whole community that you abused your position as family head, that your children would be better off if they made their own decisions independent of you, and that all of them obeyed you, not because of love, but because of material benefits you provided, what would be the best way to settle the matter? Would shooting the false accuser put the charges to rest in the minds of the community? Instead, what a fine answer it would be if you gave your children opportunity to be your witnesses to show that you are a just and loving family head and that they live with you because they love you! If some of your children believed your adversary, left home, and ruined their lives by adopting other life-styles, it would only make honest observers realize that the children would have been better off if they had heeded your direction.
God could have easily killed Satan at the time he passed judgement upon him, Adam, and Eve. But that would not have answered Satan's slanderous, scurrilous lies.
Might does not prove that one’s cause is right. The issues raised by Satan were moral ones. God’s allowing of time was, not to prove any point to himself, but to permit all creatures with free will to see for themselves the bad fruitage produced by rebellion against his rulership, and to afford them opportunity to demonstrate where they personally stand on these vital matters. With these issues settled, never again would anyone be permitted to disrupt the peace. The good order, harmony, and well-being of the entire universe depend upon the sanctifying of Jehovah’s name, the treating of him with heartfelt honor by all intelligent creatures.
In fact, the Bible promises that soon Satan will come to his end at God's hand. He will be destroyed forever. (Revelations 20:1-3,7-10)

mauybe satan is immortal and God fears that, cause God can die at the hands of satan?

Maybe the new smurf movie will break the 100 million dollar mark at the box office?

You heard it here first

Satan is immortal. Jehovah is not all-powerful and is terrified as more and more people realise it.

"God’s allowing of time was, not to prove any point to himself, but to permit all creatures with free will to see for themselves the bad fruitage produced by rebellion against his rulership..."

Satan encourages us to think for ourselves and many of us who do are turning against the ideas of your god. It's your god who doesn't want people to make any moral decisions themselves.

When you see god as separate to yourself then you see Satan too as separate and so keep going in circles and never find that of which you yourself is a part.

Very simple!

God is One, Supreme, and has no rival or equal!

There is thus no "devil" out there competing with Him.

And "satan" simply refers to our own lower (animal) nature when we give it control instead of our higher (spiritual) nature.

So there's really nothing to "kill."

Best, :)

If the Abrahamic God were to kill Satan then that would make the Abrahamic God evil, and there would be no good left for the Abrahamic faiths to look to. Plus all of those that play hooky from church and don't give enough in the collection plate would have nowhere to go but Heaven. The Abrahamic God simply cannot have that. Those who are damned need somewhere to be damned to.
