Why do creationists eat pork?

Did I say anything about live worms coming out when you pour coke? Even then, the Trichinae worms aren't the only thing you have to worry about, they're actually not that bad compared to the Toxoplasma. And then there's the issue that pigs don't sweat but that's another story. While the Trichinae rates are down, other disease rates are up. Regardless, there are often worms in Pork worldwide. 16% of the American population in 1943 had Trichnosis, so did Pork eating become safe only since the last few decades? Is it only safe in America but not China where 20% of all pigs have it? Perhaps pork eating should be regarded as safe in terms of modern America only?

I'm sure you're aware they are highly corrolated with hook worms, tape worms, and round worms too.

Eating Pork can be Hazardous to your Health

There's the Toxoplasma issue which almost entirely comes from pork eating and affects a huge chunk of the population.

Oh no!

Endoparasites are found on the inside of your birds body and are referred to as Helminths in the veterinary world which is a term used to cover a wide range of internal parasites or 'worms' living inside animals. Nematodes are the group of worms that we are mainly concerned about in poultry.

Ground poultry and ground poultry dishes should always be cooked to 165 °F internal temperature as measured with a food thermometer; leftovers should also be reheated to 165 °F.

Raw meat contains parasites!! What are we to do?!?!

Oh yeah, cook it.....

Pigs contain far more parasites and almost all carry retroviruses. Apparently you must not be aware of the massive infection of Toxoplasma in America, and its almost excusively due to so-called-clean Pork. Cows and chickens don't come close to the amount and frequency.

OUTBREAK OF CENTRAL-NERVOUS-SYSTEM TOXOPLASMOSIS IN WESTERN EUROPE AND NORTH AMERICA : The Lancet

Apparently 60 MILLION Americans carry the Toxoplasmosis Parasite...it just doesn't kick in right away so most don't know it, and it often kicks in when they are getting sick, it's a bit like AIDS in a way....

Toxoplasmosis is considered to be a leading cause of death attributed to foodborne illness in the United States. More than 60 million men, women, and children in the U.S. carry the Toxoplasma parasite, but very few have symptoms because the immune system usually keeps the parasite from causing illness. Because toxoplasmosis is associated with impoverished people it is considered a Neglected Infection of Poverty (NIP).

CDC - Toxoplasmosis

What I find interesting (and evidence that you are merely fear mongering) is that you neglected to explain how people get toxoplasmosis.
From YOUR source:
How do people get toxoplasmosis?

A Toxoplasma infection occurs by:

  • Eating undercooked, contaminated meat (especially pork, lamb, and venison).
  • Accidental ingestion of undercooked, contaminated meat after handling it and not washing hands thoroughly (Toxoplasma cannot be absorbed through intact skin).
  • Eating food that was contaminated by knives, utensils, cutting boards and other foods that have had contact with raw, contaminated meat.
  • Drinking water contaminated with Toxoplasma gondii.
  • Accidentally swallowing the parasite through contact with cat feces that contain Toxoplasma. This might happen by
    1. cleaning a cat's litter box when the cat has shed Toxoplasma in its feces
    2. touching or ingesting anything that has come into contact with cat feces that contain Toxoplasma
    3. accidentally ingesting contaminated soil (e.g., not washing hands after gardening or eating unwashed fruits or vegetables from a garden)
  • Mother-to-child (congenital) transmission.
  • Receiving an infected organ transplant or infected blood via transfusion, though this is rare.
So like was already said:

Oh yeah, cook it.....

I wonder why the Torah does not prohibit felines living with humans, seeing as that is the main source of Toxoplasma?

PROVET HEALTHCARE INFORMATION - Toxoplasmosis - Risk from Cats
treatment that is most appropriate for your pet. Cats are a major reservoir of the disease known as toxoplasmosis and they can be responsible for the transmission of Toxoplasma organisms to humans through contaminated faeces. However, a recent study suggests that cats are not the main source of infection
Toxoplasmosis is most serious in pregnant women because the infection can spread to the baby - and does so in about 25% of cases in which a pregnant woman contracts the disease. In a large survey of 1000 pregnant women in Europe* it was found that the main source of infection with Toxoplasma was eating undercooked meat - beef, lamb or pork. The risk of contracting toxoplasmosis from meat was 5 times as great as contracting it from contaminated soil (which can be contaminated with the cat faeces containing the infective stage of toxoplasma organisms - called oocysts).
It would be nice to see the ratio of what undercooked meats they are referring to.
