What's For Dinner?

Sadly, I have yet to experience Mexican food. I had not really considered it until I read that it is as varied as Indian food. That has certainly whetted my appetite.

Good stuff, imo. However, "Mexican food" in reality is extremely variable, so what many call "Mexican food" is really more Tex-Mex food. Mexican food from the Yucatan is generally much milder and with much more seafood.

Nah, just being a student.

Ya, I remember those days. On Sundays, the cafeteria in the dorm was closed for dinner, so I'll walk to a nearby pizzeria and get a double-pepperoni large pizza and eat the whole thing and still not go above my working weight [gymnastics] of135 pounds. Now I can look at a pizza and gain 10 pounds [I weigh 190].

My daughter and I made Mexican street corn nachos last night.

One of the best Mexican places I have eaten at is La Casa De La Fiesta north of Jonesboro, Ark.
One waitress there can take everyone's order without writing anything down. Last time there were six of us and she didn't make any errors on food or drinks. We have watched her do the same with ten people.

Ya, I have a photographic memory as well, but it's unfortunate that it's undeveloped.

It was on fire when I laid down on it.

I used to live in Texas. Before I moved there thirty something years ago, the only Mexican food I had had was from Taco Bell. I thought I had died and gone to heaven!

Speaking of Mexican food yesterday I had birrias tacos. I wanted that for Cinco de May but it did not appeal to any of the others that I live with. For them Taco Bell is Mexican food.

The BBQ was a very nice surf and turf job. Prawns and fresh tuna, rump steak and Toulouse sausage, tomatoes, bell pepper and mushrooms, with a bit of red lettuce, minted potato salad and a healthy dollop of my homemade BBQ sauce.

I'm about to get a glass of saltines and milk - I told you I was on a tear!
