What music do you like?

Well? I personally like mostly Folk, primarily songs in the British Folk tradition (i.e., Anglo-Canadian, Scottish, Irish, etc.), but I also like certain songs in other groups. Of course, it goes without saying I also love Jewish Folk music and derivations thereof. Also, I like Weird Al Yankovic.

My personal favorite singer is Nova Scotian folk singer Stan Rogers (1949-1983), who wrote my personal favorite song, "The Mary Ellen Carter"

The first 1:40 are a story which is interesting, but is not the song:

I mostly like metal, but I also really like psychobilly and instrumental bluegrass. Recently I've been listening to a lot of black metal.
Some of my favorites:
Eluveitie
Edguy
Korpiklaani
Burzum
Skyclad
Amon Amarth
Death
Sonata Arctica
Judas Priest
Koffin Kats
Batmobile

Yeah, that's a pretty ok selection I guess.

Whatever The Beatles is... :D

Depends if you mean earlier or later Beatles. Earlier (pre 1964) they were pop. Later (after 1965) they were probably more psychedelic rock. At least that's my opinion.

The music that I like depends on my mood and what I'm doing. This can range from typical classic rock (1960s-1970s) to classical (the more epic it is, the better). But I have caught myself listening to some genres that others would never admit to.:angel2:

I like some of just about everything, from Classical to Jazz to Blues to Rock to Hip-hop. My favorites tend toward the indie, alt and folk-rock end of things. Lyrics matter more to me than a good hook or beat when it comes to a favorite song. The greatest songs have all three.

Unfortunately I can't interpret lyrics for crap. So I stick to lyric-less music.
