I like watercolor and acrylic too, but prefere oil painting but if I can make it as an artist i will also create art in watercolor and acrylic too.I am a cheap skate. I like Impressionism as a genre, but most of the art I like is beach, boat or coastal related. I like the lighter media, like watercolor or acrylic.
I'm so cheap I frame my own! I prefer non-representational generally. I also like the Far Eastern "aesthetic."If you are looking to buy art, what are you looking for (style/medium) ? What price range are you comfortable to spend on a painted picture?

What kind of style would you say you like best? Styles like Impressionism, or other?I buy art from artists and galleries, ranging from $200 to $1,200 so far. I look for innovative use of color, especially bright colors.
Round about £100-£200 depending on size of course...Professional framing is sooo expensive.
