What are you running from?

Ability plays a role as well. There are people that are simply not cut out for fast food. There are those that either cannot handle the pace or the stress. There are those that cannot work fast and get rattled and break under pressure. There are those that have difficulty memorizing sandwich recipes.

Sure everyone can cultivate a skill, but not everyone has an inherent talent to effectively produce in a career field.

Dont you think those that have a disposition to being rattled can slow it down by diet, and taking a breath, thinking it through? Plus being new, thats gonna be natural. With experience that would go away due to confidence.

Sure they could. But that's not conducive with being efficient and productive.

We're not talking about being new. All new people go though a development process. Some simply do not catch on.

What? Me worry?
Do you ever do things with the intention of escaping reality.

What will really help me though is getting a job and actually holding it. I have mental health professionals including a vocations specialist who are good at finding mental cases work and they are trying to find me work and I can use them as references.

I stopped working because I screw up at every job. Last job I had was detailing cars. We spent all day vacuuming the inside of the car and washing the outside. We made the car look spotless and someone was coming to buy it. Then I backed the car out of the garage and didn't see a concrete pole, so while turning the vehicle, it scraped the pole causing the mirror and the head light to come off and leaving a big dent. Someone was going to buy the frigging thing and I screwed it up after working on it diligently for hours.

Ever since then, I had a phobia of working. Last time I worked fast food I took a box cutter and stabbed my wrists leaving a trail of blood all over the floor. It actually made me feel better but freaked out my superior. Working has always been very stressful and I find myself extremely distracted living in the past and living in a different world where I can't focus. But miracles are possible.

I eventually want to be a peer support specialist which is a mentally ill person who helps out others who are mentally ill. In order to get that job I need two years of not getting hospitalized and staying sober. Miracles can happen though.

Don't feel sorry for me though because some of this I brought on myself.

You sound like you could screw up a one car funeral, but don't despair I have the perfect job for you: HR. Yep, you would be a natural at spotting those that may not last more than a couple of days. Any company would be glad to have you. Hang in there..
