What are the consequences of mocking God?

One incurs the wrath of some of those who believe in the reality of god -- nothing more.

If you believe in the specific god you mock, you may also incur your own wrath (mostly extremist behaviour) such as whipping your back and all that stuff when you commit sin and of such

if you see yourself as god then it may be liberating to mock yourself, that is too say you have a good sense of humour and its a pretty good release of stress if your able to laugh at yourself

It there an effect?
Oh hell yeah.
There most definitely is an effect.
You get loads of theists whining and complaining, not to mention the ones who will call for your death and the ones who would actually kill you.

Depends on the intent. If it's all in good fun, then nothing. If it's in serious disdain, then it simply solidifies further an atheistic viewpoint.

Anything overtly negative? Nope.

If one believes in the God you are mocking, and believe that said God does have power, then you could fall ill, go insane, or what ever. Of course this would be you falling victim to your own mind's wrath, but to your better knowledge, it would be God's wrath.

Considering God is love you may find yourself either facing the very heart you mocked with in order to cross back over into love or the other alternative is finding yourself getting colder and colder until the bitter end.

Can you elaborate on that for me?

It there an effect?

Yes. God cries himself to sleep due to the severe blow dealt to his self-esteem and ego. Then when he wakes up the next day he takes out his hurt feelings and anger by kicking kittens, torturing insects, killing firstborns, releasing plagues of locusts, etc. until he feels better from the power play. Poor, insecure little guy developed some serious disorders and complexes over the years..

I think it depends on the nature of the mocking. For instance, if you criticise and laugh at an idea about God that some believe in but you do not, then nothing will happen except maybe inciting laughter from others or hatred. If you believe in God and decide to not like Him, start shaking your fist in the air and worshipping the Devil in definace...chances are the consequence is that you will look like a fool.

As for you relationship with God, from my perspective any thinking about God is progressive.
