@esmith 's Biden thread inspired me to post this one. But really there are so many to choose from.

Trump campaign conspiring with GOP leaders to disrupt the November election

On Saturday, Politico reported that President Donald Trump has been brainstorming with GOP officials on how to curb mail-in voting ahead of the 2020 election.

“Trump’s campaign and the Republican National Committee have taken to the courts dozens of times as part of a $20 million effort to challenge voting rules, including filing their own lawsuits in several battleground states, including Minnesota, Pennsylvania and Nevada,” reported Anita Kumar. “And around the time Trump started musing about delaying the election last week, aides and outside advisers began scrambling to ponder possible executive actions he could take to curb mail-in voting — everything from directing the postal service to not deliver certain ballots to stopping local officials from counting them after Election Day.”

Im not sure an executive order can do that. For instance, states have incredible power over elections and it was Newsome, not Uncle Sam, who decided Californians are getting a mail-in ballot. I'm not sure theres anything Trump can do without Congressional approval. More likely it will be another one of his ***** fit tantrum executive orders that do nothing.

Where we are very fortunate is the Supreme Court already has an established precedence of not getting involved with recounts if Trump tries that.

This news should concern people on the right, center, and left. i.e. All Americans. It is unfortunate that it is likely to be dismissed by those on the right.

Is vote integrity not important to the left?

That's what dictators do. Welcome to Fascist America. They said it couldn't happen here, Americans voted for it.

Trump also lies about Veteran Choice. He wasn't prepared with talking points when confronted on that. So he ran to his bunker.

It is. That is why we need one vote per person. It's well known that the more votes you have, the GOP loses. That's why it's important to get rid of voter suppression, especially in minority areas where their votes are systematically made more difficult for them by policies the GOP puts in place.

Make it simple. If you are an adult and a citizen, you are automatically registered to vote. No 6 hour lines in minority areas, discouraging votes. No closing polling places, making it difficult or impossible to find somewhere to vote, which is something routinely targeted by GOP lawmakers to have happen.

Make voting easy. Not hard. Left is for easy, and safe. Right is for hard, and difficult for minorities. In other words, cheating.

Of course integrity is important to the left. It's not democrats out there suppressing the vote, gerrymandering, cheating and attempting to change election day.
    A more relevant question is:

"Is vote integrity not important to the right?"

Will Trumps name be on the California ballot or will it be a write in?

All that, and more. It will come out how the family cheated with all of Fred's money, so his net worth at death was only 150,000 dollars, or something like that. All to keep Donald and family to pay the high taxes that would be owed in an inheritance to the family. The sort of thing you are put in prison for. And that will happen in the future now that those have been ordered turned over to the state of New York's attoneries.

He will pay, once he leaves office. These were crimes committed before his presidency. The first president in U.S. history to be put in prison for criminal activities, and possibly treason.

A leftist journalist spins reasonable actions to protect the security of voting and then speculates with her political like minded friends on executive actions that might possibly, maybe, potentially, hypothetically, could come to pass, but haven’t.
Why not report on things that have actually happened? Like how 84,000 mail-in ballots had to be disqualified in New York’s Primary? One out of five ballots disqualified! Yeah, there is room for improvement and justifications for going to courts to improve the security of voting.

I'll look into your claim. As it stands on the surface, it's showing the system is working as designed.
Don't try to sit here and claim "disqualified" = "voter fraud"

    Context found:
84,000 ballots disqualified for "arriving late, not postmarked and/or no signature."

That's normal Shaul. That's not voter fraud. It's not commies Shaul.

I never ever said anything about fraud. You used that term, not I. Don’t put words in my mouth. The fact is that NY election officials (who are mostly Democrats) pushed for vote by mail and ran it in such a manner that 84,000 voters had their votes disqualified. It’s a fact.

    Why were they disqualified?

    Let's see...

    https://nypost.com/2020/08/05/84000-mail-in-ballots-disqualified-in-nyc-primary-election/
One out of four mail-in ballots were disqualified for arriving late, lacking a postmark or failing to include a voter’s signature, or other defects.

    Oh.

So if someone is voting in-person and arrives at the polls late, should he be allowed to vote?

So, if someone goes to the polls to vote and doesn't sign in, should he be allowed to vote?

Please explain why you would apply different standards for mail-in voters and in-person voters.

    ETA:
So, the way they ran it was the reason people didn't sign their ballots.

So, the way they ran if was the reason that people didn't mail in their ballots in a timely manner.

What does that have to do with the security of voting?
