That tinnitus in one of my ears isn't worth fixing. I've gotten used to the ringing. It's pretty now. I get to "legitimately" ignore relatives when they yap about anything.

Won't work for me. Hubby has reduced hearing in the higher frequencies, i.e. the frequencies that women speak in. He is the only man i know with valid medical reason to ignore his wife.

I didn't know it could be fixed.

Anyway, if it moves to the other ear, you'll find adding the word "huh?" to your vocabulary quite useful, especially where you are in the presence of a din/cacophony of practical anything.
