Yeah, what I heard (maybe NPR?) is the vaccines are effective against the b.1.617 variant (the especially dangerous one in India), so...the choice before those hesitant here in the U.S. to get vaccinated could become more stark, as it's here and of course will start spreading, and it's only a question of how fast.
