The Miracle Plant

William Randolph Hearst ... capitalism.

How Marijuana Became Illegal

BINGO! Thanks to the internet, we can now access information that may have been unavailable via controlled media.

Capitalism in all its glory has infected the whole world......look at China. Talk about playing the capitalists at their own game....;)

The Bible says that "the love of money is the root of all evil"......I can see how true that is. Do you have a similar principle in your own belief system?

We grow industrial hemp here in Canuckistan ... have been growing it for awhile. A field of it is kind of odd looking. First couple of times driving by I had to stop and go take a closer look.

Looks a bit like bamboo.....?

Here is a list of things that hemp can be used for.....

Nothing in this plant is wasted.

But just in case people might get confused.....

Well, we don't have evil the way you guys do, but the instinctive mind includes greed and that's a behaviour leading one away from God.

Hemp is amazing......but not for smoking. It has very low THC, so it cannot make you high.....But it has loads of CBD which is the medicinal component of the cannibis plant.....beneficial for a multitude of uses. It was demonised so that people would associate it with hard drugs. It is still viewed by many as a dangerous drug......it never was.

It is a crop that would have saved the world......it is not dangerous in any way, but banned so that oil barons could make money from their poisonous waste products. They created a monster that is suffocating the world......it continues unabated whilst people argue over financial concerns....and we all have to ask why money is more important than the future of the only home we have!

Well, darn. :D

Interesting reading. Its a shame that financial concerns are first and foremost in the minds of most people in this issue. I see a much wider range of benefits, especially if there is an oversupply. Why not use the surplus to benefit others.

Hemp seed, if it was made into food stuffs and exported to countries where malnutrition and disease are rampant, would benefit so many people, especially children. It would replace artificial chemically based medicines that are presently unaffordable.

Korea has swapped fish oil for hemp seed....good move on their part. We should all be having access to this marvelous plant and enjoying its many benefits....free from our own garden. Can someone provide a reasonable excuse for why we can't? Hemp is not a drug.

A lot of it, in my opinion, is just stigma. Hemp isn't the only healthy plant that gets stigmatised. Heck, some vegetables take it. The broccoli growers of America must have all given a sad sigh when Bill Clinton (i think) openly declared he hated it, giving another excuse for every sugar craving kid not to eat it.

The ones who benefit from the sale of their own products will always tell the public that the opposition's is either inferior or somehow dangerous. The more scare mongering, the better the effect.

Hemp got lumped in with marijuana and it was all painted like it was collectively the biggest scourge on humanity that ever existed.....that was a bold faced lie.
It was demonized so that oil companies and pharma drug companies could peddle their poison. If it was to stop a drug scourge, then it was not the least bit successful. Prescription drugs cause more deaths annually than all illicit drugs combined.

The agenda behind banning hemp and marijuana was to get it out of the hands of people who might discover its amazing healing properties and the potential for supplying the world with a non-polluting source of raw material that could be used by a multitude of manufacturing businesses. It's easy to grow, easy to harvest and easy to turn into bio-fuel, textiles, animal feed, paper, building material, food and cooking oil, medicine and a host of other applications that would fill pages. It is non-polluting to grow and totally bio-degradable in landfill. Any creature in the ocean or on land would have benefited from eating it instead of having it kill them.

If greed had not taken this miracle plant away from the general public, it would be a very different world today. We are all paying for our ignorance and seeing how propaganda works so very efficiently with a controlled media. Its time people opened their eyes to see just how much our health and the health of our planet has suffered at the hands of greedy and unscrupulous men with wealth and power and the ability to alter people's perceptions....makes you wonder what other things are in this category...doesn't it? o_O

It is getting harder to push back the ignorance because the internet has spread the word and that can't be controlled by the media.

If people still think that cannabis is a dangerous drug, then they need to compare the death rate associated with overdoses of "legal" drugs and how many deaths have ever been attributed to cannabis overdose.

"Depressants, opioids and antidepressants are responsible for more overdose deaths (45%) than cocaine, heroin, methamphetamine and amphetamines (39%) combined."

Watch Truth About Drugs Documentary Video & Learn About Substance Addiction. Get The Facts About Painkillers, Marijuana, Cocaine, Meth & Other Illegal Drugs.

How many people have ever died from a cannabis overdose = ZERO.

No one wants to see people off their face on drugs, but there are so many people benefitting from medicinal cannabis, that the powers that be can no longer deny them. It is getting harder to maintain their position in the face of such overwhelming evidence.

There is no valid reason why the suffering people of this world are prevented from using this plant medicinally. It is so effective for so many ailments....it should be available to all.
CBD is not psychoactive, it will not get you high.....it is medicine that will make you well.
They don't want us to be well....they want us to remain sick so that we will be their customers for life. The worship of the almighty dollar has shown itself to be heartless once again. :(
It's available in many places throughout the world, including many US states. It's going to be fully legalized in Canada some time next year, but for the time being, it's available for medical purposes and can be purchased through dispensaries and online. Ever thought about moving?

This thread is about industrial hemp, and it's many uses, as well.

Not to mention the profits made by privately owned prisons which are full of "criminals" who did nothing more than take a God-given plant to help them to relax or to ease their pain. Why are the jails not full of those who use alcohol for the same reasons? Abuse of alcohol causes major harm to people, their families, the health system and the community?
Abuse of prescription drugs does too.

But a harmless plant...? It makes no sense..... until you realize why. :(
Heroin, cocaine and opium are made from plants too. Are poppies and coca also "miracle" plants?

In those places where it is legal, people are benefitting from its many applications medicinally, but if you happen to live in a state or country where it's governors may have vested interests in corporations who will suffer financially from its legalisation, then no access is granted. Their interests are apparently more important than the interests of literally millions of their suffering constituents. There can no longer be an appeal to medical concerns because the studies have all been done. The evidence has all been presented and there is no longer any excuse to keep this amazing plant under ban. It is not addictive and it's efficacy has been proven with no detrimental side-effects.

If you live in a country where all are considered citizens of one nation, can you explain why there is state division on this issue? It's like living in a different country where a state boundary becomes a line between what is "legal" and what isn't. Does that sound reasonable to any thinking person?

I live in hope that those who make the laws will show what many others have already demonstrated....putting the interests of their own citizens ahead of the interests of big business.

It shouldn't mean becoming a "medical refugee" in your own country, but this is a sad fact of life for many families, especially those with children who suffer with intractable epilepsy or other neurological conditions. This medicine works. There is no medical excuse for withholding it....and moving (overseas or even interstate) is not an option for many.

Heroin, opium and cocaine are good for some medicines too but all are addictive.
Cannabis or medicine made from hemp seed, is not physically addictive. It is actually beneficial for treating those with addictions to other drugs.
