    ^-^ Hello everyone!
So I havn't been on forums like this for 8 years and RF was the first and only one I joined recently so far.

I must say this "Like" culture is crazy. I never seen it like this before. Not sure if it's just the RF community or most everyone in forums these days hit that "Like" button most of the time. Don't get me wrong, I'm not complaining, I just hope you guys really do like what I have to say before hitting that "Like" button is all.

I'm learning to hit that "Like" button in return myself it's just I'm so lazy and it takes so much effort to do so but don't worry I'll get used to it. I'm learning your ways through practice. :)

The Like feature and the lack of dislike feature I feel promotes a positive community.
I'm glad to be part of this community. So far I love you all for being amazing!

Mandi if you're reading this, you're the first person I consider friend in this community when I was new. Thanks so much for being amazing!

    Hail Satan! ^-^

I've come to miss the "like" feature when I go to other boards. It just makes so much sense and cuts away so much redundancy.

I usually do Likes with I'm "nodding in agreement without a comment" or maybe I'm acknowledging what my partner and I disagree with and rehashing for the zillionith time. Like could also be used to close an debate if it hasn't gone anyway.

The positive side, I try to create a comment with my Likes. I think many people here may post Like to tell you "I am listening and give me a minute to reply" type of thing.

Having a dislike would balance it out...but people might take advantage of it, though.

I have one small problem with the 'Likes' system. Back in the day, when we gave a 'frubal', we would have the opportunity to write a note to the recipient. Now we can't.

For me, a 'like' doesn't mean I agree with a post. It means that I found it funny, or thought-provoking, or thought it was introducing something needed to a discussion (like calm rationality, historical accuracy, etc)

Thankfully, my utterly dominating like-to-posts ratio is due purely to my award-winning, humble and gregarious personality.

Sigh. You are at 50%. It seems the average is 10% 'likes' per post count. I am less than that.

I think my low like count is due to the possibility Christians think I am not and all the others think I am annoying. Or maybe most people have me on ignore. Go ahead, do it.

There has been much mischief in frubal wealth.
There were the frubal orgies, & some can even adjust their count.
It's called "crony frubalism", which is one reason I vote for 3rd party staffers.

The annoying thing about likes is when you post what you think is a detailed, knowledgable and informative post that brilliantly captures the very essence of the topic and have the intrinsic conceit that everybody else will be spellbound at your erudition and learned sophistication ready to crown you king of RF for your superior intellect :crown:... then nobody likes it. :pensive:

Later on you post a picture of a cat and get 8 likes :grimacing:

    Here's a picture of a cat.

You can get as many likes as you want so long as your posts and ideas are fitting materialistic or dogmatic stereotypes. :) I, however, do my best to upset the entrenched psycho-spiritual paradigms in my tiny corner of the world and whether or not that wins friends... Maybe, just maybe... I'll get a few people to wake up. Whether they like me, or remember me is irrelevant... :)

The less amount of likes i'm receiving, the better the comments are , usually. It's a matter of like to /confirmation bias ratio.
