Are Socialists allowed to post here?
IMO, only if the socialists don't believe in government imposing it upon us.
They'd favor individuals voluntarily associating with that kind of relationship.
So "libertarian socialists" (left libertarians) could post in both forums.
Weird...even I fit the definition of "libertarian socialist" without knowing it,
since I've advocated voluntary socialism before. But I refuse to identify
as a socialist (a requirement)....it sounds far too grim & authoritarian to me.
(Methinks these left leaning types in management game the definitions
so they & their buds can post nearly everywhere. Yeah....conspiracy!)
Or is it just Social Liberalism that makes one Libertarian.
Social liberalism appears to be our singular shared trait.
I am Socially Conservative, Sure.
Again, it's a deal breaker.
But I am Fiscal Libertarian too.
I heartily approve, but this alone doesn't get you in the door.
Do you have to be both Social Libertarian and Fiscal Libertarian to post here?
Fiscal libertarianism in the sense that we'd have minimal government spending could
arguably be required, since we all appear to be minarchists or anarchists. (Who ever
heard of a minarchist or anarchist tax-&-spend-big-government?) This is fodder for
discussion, & my annoyance of many.
Because many here get to post in both Socialist DIR and Liberal DIR along with Libertarian DIR.
Yeah....that should be sorted out.
Since the definition of "liberal" is about modern liberalism, their penchant
for big government would disallow their membership here. Note that both
Alceste & I have posted in the Liberal Only forum before, but now we don't.
