Quiz - which Canadian political party most closely matches your views?

As a sucker for reading anything about politics in general from the Anglosphere and European Union, I'm probably better informed of Canadian politics than most Americans. On things I didn't know off the top of my head, I guessed.

1. New Democrats
2. Liberals/Bloc
3. Conservatives/Greens

I've kinda always suspected if I were Canadian I'd be a New Democrat, but not living in Canada, never been sure.

NDP is basically Communist.

I'm coming late to this thread, but found the results interesting.

1. NDP
2. Bloc Québécois (tie)
2. Greens (tie)
3. Liberals

No, they're basically socialist, in a Scandinavian kind of a way. They have no objection to the free market or private property.
Though I have noticed that NDP leader Jack Layton does look more and more like Lenin as the years go by:

I tried to take the test.
But I do not know enough about the issues to even have a clue how to answer most of them.

Here's a summary

Greens - Tree-Huggers
NDP - Communists
Liberals - Tax the balls off everything, cut military spending, do nothing, blame Conservatives
Conservatives- Reduce taxes, bolster military spending, do nothing, blame Liberals

And then there are a million "fringe" parties that nobody votes for. I love the Rhinoceros Party, personally. They are a satirical political party, but they are actually registered. Their purpose is to get kids to vote. Their platform is crazy **** like having Quebec split from Canada and joining Cuba to make a new liquor from maple syrup and Havana grapes. Lmao. I love them.

I have to agree with this part:
It declared that the rhinoceros was an appropriate symbol for a political party since politicians, by nature, are "thick-skinned, slow-moving, dim-witted, can move fast as hell when in danger, and have large, hairy horns growing out of the middle of their faces."

Great, isn't it lol? Too bad they don't field a candidate in my area, or I'd vote for them.

So they are money-loving Commies.

No, communists don't believe in private property or private business at all. The state owns and administers everything, ostensibly on behalf of the people. It doesn't work very well because nobody is that altruistic. The government always ends up looking after themselves and their friends first.

Socialists, on the other hand, believe you should tax the hell out of private property and private business and use the revenue to provide universal access to health care, education, day care, university, etc. This is how it works in Scandinavian countries, where they have the happiest populations in the world, and a higher GDP than the US to boot. It works great.

(I <3 Jack Layton, but I do think he should shave off the moustache. He looks like a used car salesman.)

Would these guys actually do all that stuff if they somehow got elected?

It was on fire when I laid down on it.
Tie for first: Bloc Quebecois and Greens
Second: Liberals

However, I know nothing about these groups!

Liberals are the centrist party (raging leftists compared to both US parties). The Bloc is the french nationalist party. They're pretty much centrists as well. Greens are leftists on environmental issues, but have been having trouble carving out an identity for themselves apart from environmentalism. They're to the left of Liberal / Bloc.

Of the other two parties, Conservatives are right-wing and NDP is socialist.
